I've been building several Moderoid kits the last few days and while I always thought plamo were more or less unassembled regular figures, I realized that it took so long for me to unsprue, clean and assemble one of them (around 3 hours for a Patlabor one) that something was off. Either I'm super slow (but then people on Youtube and Twitch are super slow too) or there's something about the production of completed figures I'm missing. There's no way the assembly process of a single completed figure like an RD or an HMR takes so long.

How are they producing figures so fast? Also why are the materials different (plamo always feel super light/fragile)?
