Back in 2010, /toy/ noticed a glitch on Toys "R" Us's website. They meant to have free shipping, but accidentally made everything except shipping free. So we all looted the store and everyone got at least one meerkat as a trophy. We expected they would cancel all the orders, but they ended up going through with them and we all got hundreds of dollars worth of free shit.

Seriously, it was way worse, not only did they have unsellable Sequel Trilogy Star Wars toys but also Justice League and Ghostbusters 2016 and a shitload of unremarkable film designs for toys

Reminds me of the great Cow bonanza that swept across every board. The site offered credit to anyone who referred another person to sign up to the site. The credit was immediately available and could be used to buy a significant amount of custom made items (various crap you could put a custom image on). Over a few weeks 4chan would have ordered tens of thousands of items (mostly hentai themed) from the site for free. No-one expected the orders to be fullfilled. The site continues to operate to this day.

I remember in 2008 checking out /toy/ being a regular on/fit/. Some Anon posted you can use the coupon that was meant to be $5 off $20 or more. So I was printing out tons of coupons from the hamburger restaurant for robot toys that change into other things and then using more coupons for other figures. The coupon expired 1/29/09 but I probably used it for years after that.Thanks to some anon on here, it actually made me start collecting toys.
