As a non-white person myself I think I've had enough. The concept of characters and toys having to "represent" racial identities so the audience can identify with them is ridiculous to say the least. It's even more retarded when white people virtue signal about having bought PoC figures to show that they're allies of diversity or whatever. I can be a fan of Pam Grier even though I'm not black and not a woman, just as much as I can be a fan of Peter Parker even though I'm not white or a photojournalist. It's become oddly convenient to blame racism and redneck crackas for designs not selling when it's mostly because your toy design itself is shit that not even the demographic you're supposedly "representing" is willing to part with their hard earned dollars to buy it.
If they think they can guilt trip me into buying some POC figures even though they're clearly low effort junk, then tough luck buddy, because only white people ever fall for that shit. The only thing such a marketing angle is doing is making everyone even more conscious about race.
>hurr durr white hands typed this
Only white people would actively attack what they perceive as one of themselves over such a non-issue, when I've never even been to the Northern Hemisphere in my entire life let alone be some sort of dumb Caucasoid who treats everything as a political vehicle.
