>>10335151Here is the list so far:
Revell: Cheap, you get what you pay for with them, not terrible, but far from perfect.
Airfix: Mid-range, good quality, but sparse on detail, one of the best brands for a novice.
Italeri: Cheap, quality fluctuates wildly, generally better than Revell, but they have some awful stuff out there too.
Lindberg/Hawk/MPC/AMT/Atlantis/Glencoe: Cheap, old kits, good for notalgia, that is about it.
Heller: Cheap, old kits, but have good detail, if you do not mind the raised panel lines.
Minicraft: Mid-range, somewhat overpriced for some offerings, fit is not all that great, but they are easily workable.
Eduard: Varies, quality is always good and kits can be found for quite cheap.
Hasegawa: Expensive, good quality, some kits are excellent for beginners.
Tamiya: Expensive, high quality, but not as good as some may lead you to believe, kits might be too advanced for some novices.
Hobby Boss: Cheap, easy assembly, poor details, cheaper stuff is good for children, might leave something to be desired.
Trumpeter: Mid-range, good details, but inaccuracies exist, cheaper kits might be alright for beginners, but their more expensive stuff has a lot of separate fine details that need to be attached.
Zvezda: Cheap, decent quality, but some fit issues may exist, acceptable for beginners, but not perfect.
