>>10336293It counts in my opinion. It's incredibly difficult to learn to solve one without some sort of tutorial to help you figure it out. And even then, I reckon a lot of people get frustrated and give up even with a guide. And then there's being able to continue to solve it on your own without help.
I've tried to teach some family members but they just get a headache. At most, they can just do the cross portion of CFOP. And even then, for some reason they just can't comprehend not accidentally replacing parts of the cross they already finished even when using the daisy method...
Regardless of how you learned to do it, if you can solve the 3x3 solo then I'd say you can do the cube!
