I own a lot of vinyl, but there's a few people with even more than me. I probably own the most of any one color though, with a ton of the orange grey EMD and a ton of the light grey ZED.
Like the other anon said vinyl has doubled in price, if not more, since it's inception which is why Matt no longer runs it. While some of the sister companies are okay with running a single piece that's $45-50, most of the Onell vinyl works better the more of it you have, where even a handful of items to make relatively simple and straightforward builds would likely cost upwards of $200.
In terms of what I own, I can hardly imagine the cost of what it would be today, but certainly in the thousands.
I think you said could I build anything that fits a guy in them, and I have, but sadly I don't think I have pictures anymore as they were all on octobertoysforum. The most complex thing I made like this was a jet that looked vaguely like starscream that had a fully opening cockpit with a chair made out of armorvor torsos and some controls and computer screens.
