Are there any original toys for the sake of toys anymore? Or are they all licensed shit to peddle the latest movie or video game? It seems to me that everything needs to have some tie in with an upcoming movie, or only exists to nostagia bait people who don't open toys they collect. I can't think of any kind of toy not infested with this corperate corruption. I used to love toys. I like collecting things to play with and see how much work and detail was put into a toy's design. But now everything on the market today has worse quality than the shitty bootleg toys you'd find at the flea market 15 years ago. Everything is hollow, poorly painted, if it got any paint, and the parts are flimsy and fragile feeling. Is the toy industry about to collapse or something?
