For 2002 watch Bohrok Swarm Into, Backstory, Bohrok,and Toa Nuva then for 2003 watch Bohrok Kal Into and Rahkshi Intro.
This isn't key stuff but its cool atmospheric videos that are nice to watch alongside the core stuff (comics, MNOG/MNOG2,etc)
There are also novels (Bionicle Chronicles 1-4) that cover the 2001-2003 story. However, Chronices 1-3 (covering 2001, 2002, and 2003 on book at a time) are written by Cathy Hapka who is not part of the Bionicle story team, the books are good but not quite 100% canon or consistent with previous media. They ARE worth reading, but not until after all of the comics/games/videos I listed above. Also, while they cover the 2001-2003 story, I'm pretty sure none of them came out til 2003. So they are basically a way to look back at the 2001-2003 story. Definitely wait on them til after all the other 2001-2003 media.
Chronicles 4 if I recall correctly is written by Greg (a prominent member of the story team) so that is 100% canon.
And before anyone argues with me over 1-3 being not 100% canon: I asked Greg myself and he said they are mostly but not fully canon due to inconsistencies with other media.
After all that, BMP will provide you with everything you need for 2004-2010
