Can anyone help me identify this toy I had as a kid? I'm in the UK and in the late 90s when I was young I bought 2 of these model toys that were similar to bionicles but they were like airfix and very fiddly, you had to pop/twist off the plastic parts from a set holding them all and construct the robot type transformers guy yourself using glue, then put stickers on them to finish. One of them was a dark green beetle themed robot monster with beetle wings, and the other was a dirty gold bulky robot with a pterodactyl's head. I think they were knock off transformers toys, but they were nothing at all like the actual trademarked transformers toys. They were a fucking bitch to assemble and really flimsy so that's probably why they faded out of existence.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Pic is unrelated but the closest I can find from web searching.
