Because they're missing a diamond, the ones that are present are stretched out of the proper shape. This is especially bad with Black because they made his leg diamonds extend all the way up to his belt, which is accurate, but makes the stretching even worse. His chest symbol is also not consistent with Red and Blue. It's smaller and has a thicker ring around the foot. The symbol was the one thing the actually got right on Red and Blue, so to see it made inconsistent and less accurate on Black for no reason is really irksome.
The Brachio Staff is bad. It's tiny, and the sculpt is definitely off. The effect part is an afterthought, which is unfortunate because DT Black had several unique attacks which could have lended themselves to cool effect parts. The Tommy head is better in hand, and better than the last few Tommy heads they've done, but they gave it a really terrible sickly white skin tone when Tommy was always a fairly tan dude. Several other LC figures have this issue, and they need to stop using that skin tone for unmasked heads because it looks awful. I have several Marvel Legends which could have made for good civilian Dr. Oliver bodies, but it's ruined by the skin tone which doesn't match anything.
Dino Thunder Black is one of my favorite suits and the figure I was most anticipating in this line, and this is a pretty big fail in my book. Red and Blue were big fails as well, and White needed a replacement helmet to redeem him. Yellow is the only one who is issue free out of the box, and even then that Kira head isn't great. While White was able to be fixed with the replacement helmet, Red, Blue, and Black need entirely new figures to do them justice. Dino Thunder is also the team who most needs the pinless body, and only Yellow got it. Sorry for the long rant, I'm just aggravated.
