it seems like the only comic characters that get any toys any more are superheroes or capeshit adjacent. It wasnt until fairly recently that the King Features characters finally got some decent toys again. Is there are market for toys based off classic comic strip characters? Peanuts and Garfield are merchandise juggernauts but super-poseable Snoopys and Garfields continue to elude us. Dick Tracy continues to have a dedicated following too but he generates considerably few toylines. It seems like the same is true for more euro comic characters outside of simple PVC figurines, so what gives?
