I got one of those for my nephew a couple years ago and it was a big hit. The wind up feature works really well. Until it gets dirty and then it's ruined. But that is to be expected.

you can blast out the wheel with compressed air and it refreshes them decently well unless there's hair or something in there. In that case just take a screwdriver and lift the wheel off and clean it. It's very simple to fix.

I did all of that. It was working at only about 30% of it's original power and would vary in speed. I was guessed at the time that I undid the factory tightness to remove and clean the mud. I took it apart and put it back together a few times. Just never got back to out of the box good. I just contacted lego and got them to ship him a replacement part for free. They were pretty great about it.

I just watched Jang's video review of classic castle set #6073: Knight's Castle. After Jang shows the play feature of how the castle can open up to be just a giant wall, he does not re-orient the archer minifigure on the right tower to be facing forward. He just leaves him standing as he previously was. So now it looks like he is staring stupidly at the other knights, instead of being on guard. Please see pic related. I want to tell Jang about this mistake, but he disabled comments. Maybe he would re-shoot the video to correct this?

Something annoying Jang does is makes each of the alternate builds in creator sets a separate video. It’s fucking annoying. Just put it all in one video. It’s especially dumb with the smaller creator sets where those videos end up being like 2 minutes.

That's just part of Jangs autistic story building that goes along with his city building. Like how he use to have a bunch of innocent minifigs in prison because he thought fascist, authoritarian police were funny before BLM threatened to "protest" in his city. Or like how there's a skeleton in the walls of his mall. Or the skateboarding goat.
The derailed train is his little fantasy story about his wife being crushed to death in a rail yard accident (she was a railway worker, that's why he married her). Its how he copes with her not being around after she served him with divorce papers and moved out.

He mentioned it in a twitch stream a few months ago. I think twitch took down the vod because he got pretty heated while talking about her and said some pretty horrible things about her.

What happened to Lego's value for money?
Like, I'm not talking about Lego's "inflation" but the value for small impulse buy sets. The own opinion is buy kiddy shit or pay extra and get an actual good product. I miss the cheap impulse buy sets that gave you a good taste of a theme so you wouldn't need to buy an expensive set to see if you like it or not.

Today’s finds at the market. 1 May holiday so nobody there but me and the stray dogs. The red Duplo and below are real. Some Bionicle parts and the fig is a AIM agent. The rest were knockoffs. Also found some coins, commie pins, ugly clown guy, bottle opener (always handy), and a USB drive. Will let you all know if anything good is on it. Best non Lego find was the magnify lens. Came in handy for examining parts.

Here’s one I did that used a few of the pieces I have found. Yellow is an easy color to spot on the ground. If they clean up nice I just put them in with my other bricks. The fakes are kept separated for the time being.

Why is Lego so allergic to making doll houses? You'd think City would get some. Also I can't find shit in the may the 4th event to hit the freebies mark. I can get a fig size razor crest but that's another fuck huge dust collector or a bunch of smaller sets. I kinda want the tie bomber but I can't justify $65 for a literally who imperial officer, a reused Vader and pilot, and a brick gonk. Also the N1 starfighter is $60 for 400 pieces. This unironically happened when I bought the TFA falcon for me and my wife’s kids. I was trying to use it as a way to bond with them, but they lost interest within bag 2. Fucking excellent. I've always wanted a follow-up to the legendary snowboard Sports sets. The rock climbing wall is also a great highly open-ended play feature that can be used both genuinely and humorously. I wish the slope had a bend in it but from a play perspective I bet it was hard to nail down a slope that young children could consistently hit. Seeing this also makes me concerned that we're never going to see an official version of JK Brickworks' ski slope, which has a lift and much more interesting slope.
