By making biodegradable figures that crumble into dust, they would raise their ESG score tremendously allowing them to secure investments from Blackrock and other hedge funds which is far more significant than profiting off their customers.
Sure it's the humble collector that gets screwed, but American businesses were never about servicing the masses in the first place. They have and always been about funneling wealth to America's precious 1% elite-ruling class and NECA is just fulfilling its duty and God-ordained purpose as a homegrown, pureblood American manufacturer (made in China).
