Cryotek is coming with Cro and will retail for $70 so it's assumed he's getting some extra stuff along with him.

Cro is an unreleased battle master Airazor repaint because that's coming in a future wave. Cryotek may also wind up being shoved into Shattered Glass because reasons and changing his lore to be an insane criminal who thinks he's the real megatron and winds up becoming Beast Machines Megatron who in turn gives birth to Savage Noble. Basically whatever Revolver Ocelot does in Metal Gear, that's Cryotek now.

Legs are kind of shit and people get really autistic about Shockwave's toon colors but yes.

If you intend of using the battery feature I would highly recommend disassembling his arm to coat the inside in tape or black paint or something, otherwise the LED makes the entire arm glow.

Managed to just about finish that Arcee upgrade kit. I hated painting this thing, some serious fit issues and weird paint drying problems made it agony. Also the vehicle mode barely fits together. Almost tempted to give her a bit of rust/weathering to make the poor fit of the parts look intentional.

Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Windcharger

Another case of I forgot I owned this and that it existed.

Windcharger is a repaint and slight retool of T30 Tailgate.
Notable features include being solid red instead of solid white.
The pinned wheels are nice too, even if it's only the front two.. Helps this core class slot filler roll nicely.

Light on paint.
Basically just black for the windows and silver for the lights and engine lock.
Not much to say other than that. It's a cool looking car and I wish more real cars used angular designs like this.
The design might be a bit of a precursor to Cyberverse Bee now that I look at it.

Robot mode, again, very similar to Tailgate.
The head and chest are new though.

What else is new is Windcharger seems to be doing a pacifist run of a 10 million year long wat since he doesn't seem to have a gun.
Or maybe he's decided to play Monk this time.
Which Rider belt am I thinking of that looks like his exhaust pipe tummy? Fourze?

Windcharger has a standard array of articulation with a somewhat substandard range of movement.
Ball joints in the shoulder, hips, knees, and elbows, and forward/backward tilt at the ankles.
Most of it supremely hampered by the car panels

he's going to get an inevitable re-do and I hope it's closer to this one but with improvements like thigh swivels. The biggest downfall for this mold was how fucking painful it was to get a hold of one. Either find one in ross hell or import the LG version.

I wasn't expecting these Airazors to show up today but it's been a welcome bright spot to an otherwise dreary morning.
Gotta say, with a quick go with both these figures I think I like the RotB one more than the SS one. They've both flawed, but the RotB one being cuter does it a few favours.

The non-SS Airazor only very recently became available here in Australia I think. I haven't seen it on the shelves anywhere, but some backwater toy shop with a webstore that's out of alignment with their corporate franchise one had a product page for it, so I took the risk and ordered it.

Went and grabbed my other Airazor, the Slipstream redeco one, to compare. I'm glad the RotB Airazor looks pretty good next to it.
I'm fairly sure I won't end up keeping the SS Airazor though, and tracking down an old Beast Wars era Airazor is probably going yo be my next goal.

don't you think it makes a great pair with the other though? To me they've got total brother-sister energy and it's super fun. 'he' doesn't look all that 'definitely male' or anything, but compared to the other airazor, definitely.

say are you getting kingdom airazor? She's pretty good, but I would wait for the inevitable show-accurate redeco because she was more colored like the old toy.

I was not expecting the Airazor redeco of Legends Slipstream to end up as my favourite toy, but I find it's a really nice toy in-hand.
It is ultimately just as flawed as the Windblade and Slipstream of that mold family but it's a good size and the poseability is good. It also has a port on the back for gundam-style stands, which I quite like as a feature.
As for not keeping the SS one, I don't have a whole lot of space at the moment and I've got a few more bots on the way. I'll probably sell it for dirt cheap so that someone else can enjoy it.
I honestly hadn't considered the Kingdom Airazor. I might decide to get it down the line because it does look nice, but it's not on my radar at the moment.

I never picked up this mold because I didn't like it as a G1 Megatron, but... this version actually has me kinda tempted? Think it's the new retooled chest and shoulders, they make the proportions look WAY better, IMO.

Honestly I don't mi d the alt mode differences as much as I thought at first, and esp if it turns out it didn't appear in the comic itself I mean, s'not the end of the world.
Plus yeah the robot mode looks great I think. Sure the treads on the back aren't facing inwards, but like, I think that looks a tad dumb anywho in the og design; the new figure makes them appear more subtle, which I like.

Oh boy do I have a story for you:

-Got Siege UM for half off
-Ended getting Kingdom as a gift (person who bought it saw it on clearance for 20
-Then I waited for a good deal and got PF for 45
-Bought SG Magnus for full price, but I ended up getting two.
-Also got the weapons for Netflix magnus and gave black guns to one of thr SGUM and made that one Delta
-Got two Tenseg Primes for 20 due to another shipping fuck up, ended using one as a standalone and the other I turned into SGUM, the blue inner robot is now Magna Convoy and uses the Netflix gun since it's almost black.

I have too many of them now.

And it's Takara Legends Slipstream, which I've been complaining about for months.
I am glad to finally have one of these in-hand. It's damn near prefect to my expectations outside of a single loose joint. I know as far as grails go this is pretty insignificant, but it's a relief to finally get this obsession off my shoulders.
I've got a Takara Windblade on the way too, so soon I'll have all three characters from this mold family.

Also Prowl needs a proper Prowl head, which in this case may be exploding, but it'd be nice to get a normal alt head. Hopefully they ditch the clear plastic like they did with Cliffjumper and Kup. In recent years, we did get good representations of our Minibots... but not Gears, whose last actual new toy was back in Thrilling 30. So far, our best versions of the Ark Minibots:

A shame the interactivity between Legends Class and Combiners weren't used to its fullest potential. Powerglide, Shockwave and Viper all had gun alt-modes with Bombshell apparently having one as well but no official transformation scheme was ever shown so a lot of people had to guess what it would look like. They're the best ones, the rest are meh. Blackjack, Hot Rod, Groove and Wreck-Gar became chest armor with Groove maybe having a weapon mode with that 5mm peg and hole that has never been used for anything. And everything else was just Legends figures from the previous T30 line retooled and repainted.

All of the Legends Class in Combiner Wars should've had at least the additional weapon mode.

Thats really hard, usually one of the 3 modes has to get fucked up, MMC Feral Rex is the closest thing with good individual modes, but combined mode has elefantiasis and a sunked oversized head.

I dunno, to the best of anyones knowledge the rights for Primal Rage were bought as a bulk package from Midway by WB. Whether WB even remembers that they did that is completely up in the air. But considering that they never went to Netherealm and said "Hey, Primal Rage was one of those games that was trying to steal your glory back in the 90's right? You want a chance to show them how they should have done it?" then I'd say odds aren't great.

They published both, but they were made by different teams. Primal Rage was definitely trying to ape (har) MK though with it's fatalities, stage fatalities and needless amounts of gore (and piss, and vomit in the case of Chaos).
To be honest, if someone gave the sort of update treatment to Primal Rage that Killer Instinct got, I'd be down for that.
If we're talking about TF Videogame crossovers, I'd be interested in seeing them go back to Capcom and do something MH related.
