I want to share with you all a classic, a prediction that came true. Thankfully no Walmart exclusives after Parallax and Azrael have been worth getting. But here's a tribute to the insanity of Walmcfarday at Walmart:
Imagine, if you will, that as we know--Parallax is indeed a gold label Walmart exclusive. However, he is not put up with the normal figures during their collector con as you would expect, nor advertised when.
You wake up at 10am the day of the con waiting for Parallax. First day, nothing, just a shitty overpriced Marvel Legend that they've made 2 times before for literally 30 bucks
No matter, there's day 2. You wake at 10am for day 2, knowing Parallax has to be here, there are only 2 days and they teased DC for day 2. You load the page and...Instead you have Black Adam smeared with vanilla icecream dancing within a cake as the figure that they put up. Very artistic, Walmart.
But still, you know Parallax is somewhere, he has to be available somehow.
You wake up at 8 AM every day. After 7 weeks of meticulously checking daily, you get lucky and happen to be awoken by some dogs howling at the moon at roughly 12 midnight. You feel restless, you check the internet. Parallax was put up at 11:54 PM on a Monday night. Parallax found! You rush to hit Preorder. You have to fill out their shitty captcha which only stops real humans from ordering, not the scalpers' bots.
You make it through the trial. You rush through the ordering process. The site is under massive load because a multi-trillion dollar corporation skimps on their servers. The page loading slows to a crawl, but after a few minutes, it confirms your order completed! Finally your product is secured. You make sure its under your order history. No one can take this away from you. It sells out 7 minutes later, but you don't care, your spot is secured. You've won.
...5 weeks later walmart cancels your preorder and you end up having to win it in an auction on ebay for 52.99+16.57 shipping+tax+tip.
