Since the appeal of Seekers is that there are a lot of them, what if Hasbro did a Create Your Own Seeker model kit set? Like include the parts for three total robots with 3 different options for the torso, limbs, wings and various alternate heads so you can more F-15, F-22, or some kinda of VTOL jet in look. Then you can mix and match to the one that suits your tastes. To keep costs down, should have extremely simple transformation and use ball joints. The big question is if it should use grey plastic for the cool look of resin prototypes and ease of painting, or pre-colored plastics so it doesn't look too strange just assembling with what is in the box.

in general, he's just an awkward guy, weird proportions. he's not Bonecrusher awkward, but he's awkward. I'd like to see a new version experimenting more with the bodymeats, giving the eagle thighs more of a proper structure, which doubles as a prominent 'shoulder blade' since they're acting as front limbs... and larger wolf legs in back but a better transformation for them. don't have to change MUCH. can't be that hard to get a bigger head in both modes and bigger wings.

Why does mainline have to force in so many remolds for its characters, even to the point of butchering the characters they're adapting..? Studio Series doesn't need to (unless you count that stupid chest reuse that 07 Megs took from RotF Megs).

I chalk that up as Hasbro treating Car Robots in the same category as Headmasters, Super-God Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo which is to say niche Japanese only shows that gets sprinkle of toys here and there. Although the next trilogy looks to change that so who knows.

Also while yes Cyberverse pretty much models its characters based on G1 and with enough design cues to make them unmistakable I think Hasbro sees the very stylish artstyle to be as difficult to turn them into toys as the Prime and RiD2015 characters so they had to be G1-fied. After all, pretty much most if not all Transformer designs past 2006 has been drawing first then the toy later rather than the other way round.

Wdym by this anon? Did we get some sort of leak for the next Generations trilogy? Or did you mean "since Legacy is giving the Japan-only characters more attention than typical"?

And yeah, but I just mean, like... you could make a G1-styled Shadow Striker that's still faithful to her Cyberverse design, it just wouldn't be as polygonal. I (personally) would be fine with that. It's them forcing the design to be something completely different, that I dislike...

The G1 pool is slowly drying up, SS86 is going to do any of the characters seen in the film whether it was a cameo or not and as far as updates for characters who needs them are concerned there's only a few left like the Minibots, Triple changers, Targetmasters etc,. Legacy Year 3 Uni line next year contains very interesting selections like Energon Megatron, Tasmania Kid from BWII, more Cyberverse characters, a Rescue Bot Chase etc. There's a lot more non-G1 characters and if Hasbro continues the momentum the next trilogy will have sprinkles of G1 here and there while the rest will most likely consist of Armada, Energon, Animated, Beast Wars II characters and so on.

Well look at Hasbro's attempts at doing that to the Prime characters in Legacy Year 1 and they were very divisive. I'm assuming Hasbro's solution to this is to pair a character that is tough to G1-fy and merge them with a G1 version of them or one close enough at that. So you want to G1-fy Skyquake but doing so would probably make him so different people will throw a fit, well take the G1 design and combine it, helps that most characters post 2006 are designed to closely resemble their G1 counterpart so the new fans of those characters will be pleased they have a character sufficiently accurate while G1 fans will also be happy the new updated toy is coincidentally accurate to their version of the character. Of course I'm only assuming this if Skyquake and Shadowstriker aren't the only examples, if Strongarm is a mix of her RiD2015 and her Energon counterpart designs then 3 times mean Hasbro is committed to that philosophy.

Eh, that's not really the same. For both Prime and Animated, their respective artstyles and stylizations are much more integral to their character designs, while for summin like Cyberverse, you could reasonably make its characters in "G1 style" with very minimal translating; as mentioned prior, Cyberverse basically IS G1 artstyle-wise, just ran through a low-poly filter. Speaking as someone who really hates the Legacy Animated Prowl, if they applied THAT sort of translation to Cyberverse or Rescue Bots characters, I would actually be more than happy.

It was just an artist who was friends with DJW. I used to watch them stream together drawing Animated OCs for G2 and Shattered Glass. It really bums me out cause DJW is fucking dead now. (How'd he die anyways?) I hate seeing 'TRANS RIGHTS TRANS RIGHTS TRANS RIGHTS' spammed everywhere. All I know is these people's nuanced opinions on their favourite Transformers and fucking parroted assed opinions on transexuals. Literally nothing else not even some of their names.

Also i tried watching TJomega because it popped up when was looking up Transformerers shit and he had a thing about Nightshade. People posting trans right on showz's arcee page. That fuckin guy who said transmutate was problematic... This is only transformer people too.

I had to stop watching fuckin Linkara when he started praising the gay and bashing shows that didn't gay sooner. Unless you care for the 3H comics continuity, where their sparks ended up sticking around after Tigerhawk got vaporized and find new bodies - Tigatron ended up in what remained of Ravage's body, Airazor ended up in a protoform body whose stasis pod had been revealed from the Nemesis blasting the mountains with its cannon, and both bodies ended up Transmetallized (somehow). Both characters end up back on Cybertron after chasing Vok-enhanced Tarantulas through a Space Bridge, arriving shortly after the events of Beast Machines, while Tarantuals ans his creation Razorclaw (built in the likeness of Tigerhawk) end up kickstarting the Universe 2003 storyline.
But yeah, Tigerhawk was his won separate 'bot (and was male) despite being made up of two separate Sparks until he died.

Still not sure why they insisted on changing his BM toy from a griffin to a 'condor'. It's pretty clear the toy was made first and the change to try to make it look like a bird instead was totally half-assed; his show model was also clearly rushed, since it looks incredibly awkward and is animated rather strangely (which is bizarre considering they had perfectly good looking bird models and animations on-hand from BW, including a bald eagle and Airazor's alt mode). There was almost certainly something going on there behind the scenes there.

well currently thirdparty is killing it with those if you're into show-accuracy and MP scale, but I don't think they're good enough designs for me to buy. never liked the organic robot mode faces or the weird mismatched texturing. Yeah, there's a whole second half of the Beast Wars in the comics that happens after Primal and co. capture Megatron and leave - Tarantuals survived (which shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone who saw the show - he's been blown up in far worse ways and walked away, so it makes sense) and he basically ends up becoming the new Big Bad. The Vok come looking for the two that had been piloting Tigerhawk's body (now enslaved by Tarantuals) and realize he's become a huge threat to the timeline, so they create Primal Prime from the mech suit Quickstrike was using to control Primal in that one episode and have him (with Airazor and Tigatron) running around trying to revive the rest of the Stasis Pods that everyone abandoned while Tarantuals does the same, resulting in every character that ever had a toy making an appearance and forming two whole armies that go to war with each other. In addition to the 'newbies', the 3H comics are also what establish characters like Grimlock, Ironhide, Silverbolt (the Eagle, not the Fuzor), and so on to be the original characters in new bodies; also Iguanus (who ends up as Tarantuals' right hand man) MAY be the same dude from G1, having finally become an actual lizard.
Anyway, most of the cast dies, but some make it back to Cybertron after following through Tarantulas' Space Bridge (which Tarantuals tests by throwing a captured Waspinator through it before realizing it needs adjustments, explaining how he ended up on Cybertron in time to get his Spark swiped for BM). All of it ends up connecting to the Universe 2003 storyline, because Tarantuals is the one who ends up reviving Unicron and helping him abduct characters through time and space to let him feed off of their Energeon, or something like that; the story ended up unfinished, so there's a lot missing towards the end.

Weirdly enough, the episode does show him scanning TWO fossils (the condor and what looks like a carnivorous dinosaur or other carnivore) so it's also possible the script accounted for giving him a hybrid animal form again, but the art direction decided against it and the animators just did whatever.

Yep. They're the reason the Fox Kids repaint version of him is always so damn expensive and hard to get compared to the others, since the comics based his supercharged look off of that specific toy. He basically absorbed the two Vok that came out of Tigerhawk at the end of the cartoon, gaining all of Tigerhawk's crazy abilities, but unlike Tigerhawk, he was the one controlling the Vok and not the other way around; at some point during the Wreckers comics, Tigatron has to free them from him and house them in his own chassis to cut Tarantulas off from some of that power, because he's stupidly OP otherwise. Tarantulas in this same form shows up in the Universe comic as well, since it takes place right after all of that.

Unfortunately, no. It's been ages, and I no longer have my own copies. I do know that the endings for the Universe storyline was never finished, so we don't know what the ultimate conclusion is.

Same, actually - it's been a grail of mine for forever (specifically because of the comic), but between it being so damn expensive and the fact that it's a 20-year old Transmetal that would almost certainly be in horrible condition even if it were still NIB means I'll likely never have him at this point. My only hope is that Hasbro finally gives people a remake of his Transmetal form, and then does this as a repaint, but the odds of that are pretty slim. Still, they gave us TM2 Megatron, who was another highly demanded figure, right?

Here's my perspective: I don't know any Polynesian people. I know they have their own culture and probably their own shared life experiences I will never relate to or understand, but I don't hate them for that. If they (in this hypothetical universe) are getting a lot of representation in media because they're a minority, i dunno, good for them I guess? If it's poor representation, then that in itself should be the point of outrage.

As it stands, most trans/NB people I've seen (that are sane people) dislike Nightshade, because they were written in a very clumsy and talking-down-to-the-viewer manner. The only people defending the character are doing so because they fear if they acknowledge Nightshade is a bad character, then THAT will set the precedent that people like the ones in this thread will be allowed to say "heh, see? This identity is just a fad and they don't deserve respect. In fact, they should be ERADICATED."
Again, I don't know or understand what it's like to be trans OR NB, and I won't pretend I will. I also won't defend mob-mentality retards on twitter, because they'll always be retards no matter their identity; that's just being disingenuous. I just recognize that people have their reasons for everything, and I may not understand most of them, but that's okay.

At most, I'll say that gender identity stuff should probably be left for older, teen-aimed shows, and not for young children... but at the same time, I distinctly remember this argument from when I was a teen, except it was about gays. I knew gays existed growing up, I didnt feel pressured to be one; it was only once I hit puberty I understood who I was attracted to, and yknow what? I never had a closet/denial phase, I was instantly comfortable with liking who I liked. I see that as good.

Love him. He's pretty solidly built, and a lot less squat from his original toy (plus he actually has a chest now). People were complaining that he's too lanky in bot mode, but his proportions are actually pretty close to his show model's - you just need to remember to pose him properly, since he almost always had a slight hunch in the show.
My only complaints about him are his stumpy dragon tail and the fact that he seems to have comic book Cryotek's face instead of his own for some reason, but there's an upgrade kit for that.

Shoulders are even worse than laser prime, nothing holds them in place and come undone easily. Hips have ratchets, but the description made them sound like Motormasters, they'll crumble after a while, and if you move the legs to the sides, that section lacks ratchets and don't seem to have any friction.

Figure is over engineered about as badly as laser prime, with many changes that only serve to complicate things.

Who's in charge of leader figures since Legacy started? Aside from TM2 Megatron (who still had some issues) they've been awful.

??? This is weirder than when a seller took the lower offer and not my higher offer. Was it spite? Did he actually just change his mind? Did I offend him? I just wanted that transformer so bad. I was going to buy it and its asking price if I didn't get a deal. The same seller sent me an offer for something else I was watching of his though. Wtf

On top of that, will probably need to spend at least double retail to get it since Targets don't exist in Puerto Rico and they never will

Older movie lines would have several releases for that toy, but it being an exclusive means we might not get a redeco or more accessible release for a few more years.
