1/6th Thread: Naruto Sheev Edition

No.10431562 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
It's been ages since I last saw a general, so I'm not even going to pretend there's enough interest to make this thread one. But for the 3 or 5 people here collecting these, this can be a catch-all. However I just wanna ask; how do (you) deal with completionism in this scale? When I was starting I was focused on just the few favorites. They were expensive and big so I was treating each purchase as something special. Now that I've gotten a few over the years and prices have risen all over, these feel much less special, more everyday buys sort of thing. Which I really don't want to feed more since they do still cost 300-500 $ each, you know? I want my displays to be clean, crisp and specific. All things being equal, I haven't made any purchases I've regretted yet. I do wait for my preferred look for characters with many variations, I don't buy things due to FOMO, and so on. But as I'm expanding already existing displays, the temptation of starting new ones is the worst. I got into it to grab some SW and Marvel stuff plus one-off classics (Indiana Jones, Godfather, etc). But as more companies get in the game, the more licenses get picked up, I'm having a hard time juggling what I truly want and what I'd just like to have. Not to mention that the more you get the more crowded it all becomes, which in this scale is an eyesore. Take InArt and their announcements. I'm not the world's biggest GoT fan, but I followed the show for nearly a decade and those designs would look stunning in 1/6th. And I do love dragons so I want the Targs. At the same time spending 500$ on a tiny Emilia Clarke seems kinda cringe desu. Or the new Harry Potter they showed. I never liked it, but as a kid I did buy the toys and watch the movies because I liked magic and castles. Do I buy a Harry as a representation of that part of my childhood or not?

So, how do (you) anons structure your collections? Do you stick to specific licenses and round them up? A few favorites from across the board?
