I wouldn't say my family was dirt poor or anything, but it was definitely a lot easier to talk my parents into buying a happy meal than buying a toy itself. We had a lot of these things littering our toy bin (nevermind my grandma's toy bin for whenever any of her little shit grandkids like me or my siblings visited, that thing was almost like a treasure trove of 90's kids meal toys)
