>>10437978>>10437994Nah, most of the figures sold well, they just weren't as high quality as people were hoping for. They even released a few subsequent waves of Ninja...in some of the dumbest colors possible...but they still sold for the most part.
They definitely changed their business model though. With the Skeleton they're just making the one figure, instead of doing a big multi-wave Kickstarter line. On paper those big multi-figure launches are great and exciting, but in execution they're a QC and production nightmare to work with.
I can see them doing Ninja Scroll one figure at a time as well, hopefully it means little to no part reuse and more care put into each individual character. You can get cheap and lazy with generic Ninja and Samurai, but when you work with a cult classic IP....well you can get lazy with them as well, but that's not what you SHOULD do!
