I remember there was a set released somewhere between 1998 - 2000, the human characters there were less of the standard Lego characters and more looked like IRL humans. The commercial ended with a sound bit:

What is the best Mech lego has every made, from all lines?

For me it's still probably Zane's Titan Mech, the knees were truly breathtaking and the price was very reasonable. And the overall design is just badass, the only thing I can knock it on is how the pilot is exposed

The new Minecraft wave doesn't look good. The Axolotl house is meh, the Pumpkin house looks pretty bad, but it's the only way to get the Witch, Iron Golem looks okay, but the Crafting Box must be a joke. It's easily the worst of the Crafting Boxes.

Thanks. The axolotl in a bucket is a fun idea and the house is basic brick beauty. The pumpkin swamp looks like #21240, I guess i can use it to make a bigger biome. At least the crafting box house in the small photo looks interesting.
It's fine because the sets are cheap to get and it feels like the only real Lego series but yeah I expected more from the crafting box.

Actually, I just noticed something that make the Iron Golem fortress a 10/10 set. The side columns look like legs and they have technic pins inside, which suggest they can be attached or moved around. I think you'll be able to detach the Golem from the ground level and make a big, moving Iron Golem.

This is the first larger price/size build I've really gotten myself in a really really long time and I'm really happy with it.

My only gripe with exo force then was that I wasn't the biggest fan of the enemy robot figure design. Otherwise, it was excellent all around. I still feel a little cheated that exo force ended what felt so soon, but ninjago has stuck around for so long

They're either near the registers, on the end cap shelves for the toy aisles - usually on a floor-level shelf, or lots of time they're only in inventory and you have to ask for it specifically. Oh, okay. The Crystal King is a fin set if you can get past the stiff articulation in the front legs. The head shape on him is pretty nice, decent chest cockpit, nice articulation in arms. Lots of imaginative play with the wings and tail.

As for the temple, while I personally like it, You may find it kind of bare. That one comes down to if you really like the Crystal guys and want to give them a home base and fill it out more.

I didn't care for the literal bush tail, so I remade it to actually have rings. He's also got mixel joints on the shoulder for future extra weaponry, like actual rocket launchers or rail guns. Same with his close hand, that has a few clips for extra guns

I'm personally no lego guy anymore, but I do have somewhat of a nostalgia boner for lego racers. For me they could have done away with the whole open world thing, but it's good enough to keep me doing races and fun challenges.
The vehicle builder can keep me entertained for well over an hour at a time without getting extremely frustrated. Pic related, please don't bully my cadillac. I'm personally no lego guy anymore and thus have no building skills to speak of, but I do have somewhat of a nostalgia boner for lego racers.
You can't customize your guy sadly, only unlock preset ones.

It won't always work but it helps. Also I'd you just got back into Lego it's perfectly natural and you'll soon start to only buy sets you actually want instead of just getting a little bit of everything. Also hit up bricklink for pieces and figs instead of buying whole sets at retail.

Did LEGO always do facades for buildings instead of a full 360 degrees of a building?

It seems like every City and Creator set with buildings is just the front of them now. But I swear they were doing full buildings just a few years ago circa like 2015-16. I bought a big treehouse some years back, IIRC it was a creator 3 in 1, and I recall the main build being a 360 degree building
