Bionicle is Terrible But...
No toyline has ever been able to convey the horror themes of the toa mahri so well.
Themes i liked:
>completely outnumbered by creatures more powerful than they could imagine
>a hospitable dark dangerous environment
>a villain group of greedy mutants hellbent for power, but fighting amonst themselves
>a main character dieing
>all main characters besides hahli having to have life support systems
Something about the horror themes worked so well for mahri. If theres any theme in bionicle that needs a re-release its mahri.
Name a toyline that feels as hopeless and despairing as mahri. Something where it feels the heroes were always meant to lose. I genuinely can't think of one.
