These are still a thing in Australia. Just this easter they even had these big fuckers for sale, and I mean the size large easter eggs used to be 20 years ago. Didn't taste bad or make me feel sickly either, probably could have eaten two entire eggs in one sitting if I really wanted to. The toys inside were just simple plastic dinos, but they didn't feel cheap or weak.

One of my friends from Australia sent me some of these to try one time. He told me they were nothing like Kinder eggs and I was skeptical. Having grown up in the UK, I loved Kinder eggs and was excited to try them. He sent me one of them that had little animals in them and I ended up getting the owl one. I will admit the taste was probably better than Kinder, would recommend.

So my understanding is that they aren't Cadbury's anymore so I can't really speak for how they taste now, but when they first came out they were Cadbury's so they just tasted like Cadbury's. They tasted exactly like Cadbury's chocolate buttons if I was to compare.

I wonder if that anon is still here.
Back in 2015 (i think) some kind anon created a thread where he was talking about getting a huge box of Yowie eggs.
And then he got so much that he wanted to give some of them away.

And i emailed him and he sent me a full cast. I still have these figures and i like them a lot - thanks anon!

Yowie are sold here in the US now, i've seen them often at Walmart/Target and Meijer.

The newest set out is Baby animals I believe. i got a few of them so far and they're pretty nice.

I've been picking them up here and there for a few years now and the figures have all been consistently cool.

I always put them off as "oh those probably taste worse than dollar store chocolate" due to the packaging. the toys actually look really nice, the facts sheets are cool too. if i was an animal autist kid during this era i'd probably be going crazy.
