>>10481053The mod girls' quality is apparent precisely BECAUSE they are not weathered. You can see all the care that went into them. I loved ThreeA, but their stuff was a little rough sometimes and it felt like it was hiding under the weathering. And if I am being particularly picky, their weathering was only good for the first 2 years or so, when they were still making small batches. After that the weathering got sloppy and lazy, just tons of big sponging work. In the beginning it was so much more careful and they actually diversified the types of weathering they used.
Articulation in the mod girls is just as good as any ThreeA female figure, no idea why you think they're lacking.
And as for the Pocket stuff, it's pretty clear they're going with a simpler, more retro-inspired articulation model. Do I like it? No, but it has a clear purpose and intention, it's not like it's an actual decline in quality. You are mistaking a choice you don't like for the quality going downhill.
