You're pretty retarded since you show you know 0 about how the industry works. Once retailers order, Hasbro already made their money. Clearance prices only hurt the retailer and may make them re-order less, but toy companies usually produce fewer of subsequent waves to counter that. Besides, the margins on these simple retro figures are HUGE. Hasbro already made a gigantic margin on the product once the retailers bought them.

I'm still pissed off that I had to pay $45 just to get the BAA Indiana Jones from Adventure Series. I want the Ark.

Hasbro Pulse had him in stock until a few days ago when I finally had the money to start ordering stuff, and now he's the only wave 1 figure they don't have in stock so I just said "fuck it, I'll pay the eBay price because I know how bad Hasbro is about restocking these days."

I really don't care enough about the other BAA sets to bother collecting all the figures for them. Hasbro should have known better though, there was always going to be more demand for Raiders Indy than any of the other figures in the line, and between the people who just wanted to casually pick up a desk decoration and the fans like me who absolutely have to have the full wave 1 set for the Ark, they needed to send out more Indies. It's the classic He-Man problem and Hasbro walked right into it.

I think the retro line also has the problem of the figures just being kind of crap quality, too. The plastic is very gummy, the sculpts are bad, the accessories are too big, and the joints don't move unless you boil them for a half hour.

Granted, retro style figures are not really my thing. What I would have liked is something more akin to Vintage Collection for Star Wars, especially because the 2008 figures are kind of dated by today's standards and have very basic T-joint hips. I'm sure Hasbro's market research said nobody would buy more realistic looking 4" figures though, and somehow they ended up really half assing the retro style figures.

I don't own it but I can tell it's a better figure than probably most of their modern iterations. I got one of Indy from the Crystal Skull line but in hand it turned out to be underwhelming, even with a better likeness a decent likeness at that scale.

There's another seller on Etsy that has a cast resin version that's cheaper, although if that one head is all you're ordering, after shipping costs the prices end up being about the same. The cast resin will also have some additional imperfections from air bubbles you'll have to fix.

It's the same head sculpt, just a different means of reproducing it. It's only $7 so if you're ordering more than one head, and you're willing to do the work, it's not a bad deal at all.

Yes everyone knows about the 2008 line. Anyway I'm pretty sure the bootleg's hat is mismatched with another indi figure's leading to it being bigger than it should be, plus the hat in the photo isn't fully placed on indi's head.

Anon, to build up a collection or team of black series and ends up easily being 100+
Compared to a lego set that provides hour of enjoyment.
TVC is a much better option for kids, but is still expensive.

There are tons of bootlegs on eBay. They're basically the same as the official ones which would be annoying for collectors, except the figure never looked good anyway. Lots of good parts on it for custom fodder, though.
