I had eBay side with me, the seller, on my one and only case against me. It was a charge back, and not an eBay case, and they did side with me in the end. I think it was because the idiot buyer bought something from me mid-move and forgot. They were a complete idiot because not only did I have tracking, but they bought a SECOND item from me, no issues, to a different address (hence the assumption that they were mid-move). They bought the first thing (the one that they were later disputing), immediately paid, and sent no messages of any kind, until in response the next day when I shipped it out. They asked that I ensure it arrives by Friday or Saturday, of which it was already Friday, and I have literally just finished telling them that I handed it off to USPS. Literally out of my hands.
Recently I just sold something that I set up before hand with the buyer, who wanted to go through eBay to reduce risk on his part, of which I was fine with, especially since he offered to pay more to cover the fees. Well, it's been a while since I last sold on ebay, and since I was selling trading cards that exceeded a threshold, eBay wanted to "authenticate" the cards first. Wtf? It's an obscure card game (chaotic), I highly doubt eBay knows more about that game than me. No seriously, I could be considered an authority on that game. Anyways, they want me to ship it to them first so they can literal "hmm yes, this floor is made of floor" meme my order before it arrives to the buyer, of which lives in Arizona (I'm in California), and their "authentication" site is in Florida! So basically a few days delivery time is now at least a week, maybe 2 cuz I doubt eBay will look at the cards and pay themselves on the back the same day.
Oh, and eBay is charging me their 13.5% fee on the taxes that the buyer paid, of which I literally only saw because eBay
told.ke they were charging me for it, money of which I would have never even touched!
