So with a week left, I finally finalized my All-Star 6 Order. Despite voting for and actually wanting Clavian from the start, in light of all the new Skeleton goodness in this wave he didn't make the cut for my order. Compared to all the great new parts and builds, along with all the great new gear, those old first wave figures just don't seem as impressive these days.

In the end, I decided on grabbing the Boss Skeleton, the Dwarf Skeleton, two of the Raiders and the Templar, as well as one of each belt pack. Even if you're new to the line, all these skeletons are great for people to start building their own Boney horde, and that Templar looks too nice to pass up.

Shame that his armor is painted white under the surcoat though, it just seems like such an out of place decision and doesn't do the figure any favors. If his breastplate was the same metal color as the rest of his armor, you could strip the soft goods and use him as just a fancy knight. But the painted white breastplate ruins that option and honestly clashes with the rest of his look. It's not an issue if you keep his soft goods on though, but still it's not their best decision.

Also, who here is waiting on space folks? Some people on other forums have mentioned getting them in hand, so they are on their way.

I find it funny that Wukong is always depicted in that outfit. It isn't even anything special and he loses it in about a chapter. The same thing with Monkey Kid and the use of the six eared macaque, dude dies in less than a chapter.

Me, some reviews have been popping up and they look really good, though I think the Sentry looks a bit too unpainted (though I'm sure that's a plus to customisers).
Also, related to Cosmic, apparently they mentioned in a live stream that the next wave will be leaving the prison setting.

This outfit is not even from the novel, it's actually based on the costume for powerful and unorthodox hero character archetype from Chinese opera. The most well-known Chinese opera story featuring Wukong is the Havoc in Heaven which Wukong wear this outfit in, and it had significant influence on Chinese people's preception of the character down the line.

2. Can I pay with pay-pal? If no, how can I buy from Germany?
3. What is the resale value of these once they are ship? I ask to know if it's really worth pre-ordering or not.
4. Have (you) personally ever had issues with the quality of a specific product, had to return it, or contact support?
5. Why does it take so long from the end of a pre-order period and shipping? I want Sir Enouch + Deacon, but 15 months is a long time, imho.

to answer your questions in order as best I can

1) yes, you pay at checkout.

2) Just tried to make an account using Bitburg as the city and paypal was not an option, unfortunately. So I can't definitively say no. But their Customer Service email may be able to help out with that ([email protected] for general questions, [email protected] for shipping issues and QA)

3) if its a verified retailer (like BBTS) the resale can be $15USD higher, but on after market like eBay, resale per figure could easily be double or triple depending on the popularity of the figure.

4) I'm not OP, i've had a couple QA issues but they've always been quick to help if you email them. I had a figure that came with two left feet and they sent a replacement right foot within a week; also a figure came with the paint on the face scuffed and they replaced the head out-right. no shipping costs attached.

5) it takes a while because they're getting an idea of how many to make from pre-orders; they get the final number at the end of all the pre-orders (their site and then other retailers like BBTS) and then they go and make the figure.

it definitely sucks w hen you're first getting into the line but if you like future waves and you order 1-2 (or more) figures from each wave you will get a nice steady supply heading your way. But I will say the more that four horsemen does, the faster the figures are coming out.

Advent of Decay wave took a solid two years from pre-order to in my hands.

If it's anything like in the UK the local retailers will be more expensive of you're buying multiple figures but for singles they're cheaper since no shipping.

The base horse is actually a "stealth" reissue of one of their previous Horses. I forget if it includes the original saddle and tacking, but they advertised it as being the same coloring as their first horse release.

Honestly, it's probably just cheaper and easier just to use the same paint mask as a previous release for a horse that's 90% covered in gear anyway,

I agree that the changes made to the horse are disappointing. Mainly because I think the original design looked better but also because I feel they shouldn't have to change or avoid certain designs simply because assholes once made use of certain looks. If anything, changing the figure because of that limited previous use just gives more weight and importance to that time it was used for something awful (completely ignoring the fact that the Templars weren't exactly the nicest of folks).

But at the same time, I can understand why they changed it and can't really fault them for doing so. They make toys, they don't want to go about courting unnecessary drama from crazies on the fringes who would make this into an issue. There are still options out there for those who want that more accurate Templar look (check out Maxbird's webshop, he makes some fantastic soft goods).

For the preordering I'm seconding the opinion that if you only want a few figures, buying from a 3rd party is probably cheaper (the shipping prices directly from 4H are quite high, especially for single figures). Usually I only order directly when it's about 4 figures at once.
Actionfiguren24 usually carries all Mythic Legions figures. Also there you can check how much previous figures went for.

It all depends on how much you are buying. Shipping the all in to my country will cost about $160, which is still lower than BBTS even before they charge 10% tax and then shipping.
But if you are going to only be getting a couple of figures, BBTS sometimes works out cheaper. I know for Wukong, Storehorsemen wanted $70 for shipping, which was more than the figure cost. I'll wait for the retail one instead.
I've found that I need to buy at least 4 figures for Storehorseman to be better value than BBTS, unless it's a deluxe sized pack or bigger which sends their shipping calculator into meltdownnlike it did with Wukong and The Unknown One exclusive.

They charged $33 for international shipping of a single figure while BBTS only charges $8, with the added benefit of being able to combine shipping with other brands and save on import duties.

Basically the Four Horsemen felt threatened and made claims about not wanting brand confusion, despite the fact that every Legions compatible Kickstarter got plugged in the Cabal, from AWOK to the Defenders of Eden (which 4H did sculpt.) They even let their warehouse manager plug his Bible action figures in the group.
But for some reason, there was almost a boycott of Savage Crucible in the group, even before the Kickstarter. I think it happened just after they started sending out the Cthulhu coins to MAFC customers.
Then the day of the launch, shitloads of fans posted threads about the SC launch, and the mods deleted every thread.
That was when Cornboy posted his bullshit about not wanting "brand confusion" so people asked why AWOK and Mezco figures were allowed to be posted non stop whenever they are announced, but only got non answers, and because Walter the pussy admin doesn't want drama in his group even when Megalopolis are ripping off customers, mods just closed any thread that brought it up like with a recent horse controversy.
So William, the MAFC/SC dude (who has a reputation for his attitude, to put it nicely) decided at the end of the Kickstarter that all MAFC products for Legions would be discontinued after a few months, and they would only be making parts for Savage Crucible and AWOK from now on.
I can see both sides to a degree.
William felt slightly betrayed that 4H had effectively blacklisted him after his customising parts (not really his, he never designed any, he was just the brains behind the business) were part of what helped the line and the community to grow, and on the other hand, 4H can't let their "official forum" be used to advertise the competition. My issue is that they have been extremely inconsistent with that rule, as seen with AWOK and others being advertised there.
There may be a piece of the puzzle missing, because to this day, I don't understand why the AWOK KS could be advertised in the group, but not SC.

That said, I heard all this stuff third hand and barely paid any attention to any of it because I too do not care about crappy internet drama. I don't give a rats ass about who's feuding with what or who got slighted or insulted....I just want my damn toys.

As someone who was 100% against the way they shut down their forums and completely loathes the idea of "facebook groups", this kinda crap is exactly why an actual Forum would be better. The 4H generally don't go against other figure lines as they're toy guys themselves and probably collect most of em. But a Facebook group is too narrowly focused and you end up with this bull crap forced push back because another brand was getting too much attention.

With a forum, there would never be brand confusion. Yea, that's the pic I took he's posting again. Which I don't exactly understand why he keeps spamming that one in particular. The design itself isn't the best, but it does work. The problem was in the actual manufacturing as the parts were just a bit too tight and the got themselves stuck together in transit. Once you pop apart the hips they work great and I haven't had any issues in the years since I got them.

I guess he uses it as an example that the 4H made a mistake? I mean, I guess you could call it that, but no one even said the 4H were perfect and stuck joints from shipping is an industry wide issue. But the weirdest part about him spamming that pic is that the current ogres don't even use that set up. When people complained, the 4H went back and revised the joints and that hasn't been a problem in ages. If anything it shows the 4H listens to their fans and goes back to fix their problems.

The Scientist is pretty much the same but in white, but it has this sort of glittery effect to it which is nice, the head colour clashes too much though in my opinion so I'll he putting the helmet back on until I get the blue head from the Pilot figure in wave 3.
Also I did notice this before but the hand pack comes with white 5 digit hands for it.

The Engineer is the most boring of the four I opened I think, the head is very nice and so is the chest armour but it's mostly your standard female legion figure.
Also the hands were pegged in really tight on the one I opened, so tight that the hand came off of the peg but luckily it was a easy fix and with some head I got the hands out fine.

Slogg looks great, he has a lot of detailed sculpting on his suit but like others have said he's pretty limited similar to how a troll is.
That said, he does have more movement than you would think, so he isn't as static as a troll is.

Also, sidenote which not many will care about, but I really like the packaging for the figure, something about a box feels better than the clam shell Legions come in and I like the way they're designed.

Eh? Most of the designs are ugly monsters, generic knights, or generic warriors with faces that look like something out of dnd, which does not stoke my imagination. They look boring to me and don't evoke any significant emotional responses. The Necromominus wave just had some cool skeletons but nothing I would jump on. The most interesting thing I saw was this centaur that looks like Michael Dorn, and only then because I found the resemblance funny.

Cosmic legions is a little better for me but I still really don't get anything out of the designs. Some of them look like bootleg Star Wars aliens and others look okay but nothing amazing for me. If you guys like them then cool, but I find them mostly uninteresting. Have fun.

The gladiator head has longer top horns (both fading into purple) and he has a different thing on his forehead.
According to the bio Olek is transforming into something and since he is apparently the "main character" (and also a Adam Power homage) I think we'll see other versions of him in future waves.

Hard to say, I think it depends how much you want a character with four arms since that's the unique thing about Kraggnar compared to the other two.
If I HAD to choose between a bug and Kraggnar I'd probably go with the bugs, they're more unique as far as Legions go.

Personally I don't really care at all about the Cosmic figure, but I might be tempted by the Mythic one. Simply because of all the nifty stuff he comes with. Don't really care about the Cabal Banner, but the banner staves are always useful as you can pop tons of different weapon toppers on em.

I think the space kook is meant to be painted like a actual space suit, since it has that darker red/orange like the straps and the silver/grey parts around the hands/arms.

This group was my original plan for what to grab when this series launched, but I had to cut the big guy and gun chick from my line up and I'm kinda sad I did. The grey spaceman came out far more boring then I anticipated and just having two figures don't make a for a real convincing crew.

I like the use of the extra Leo head for the spaceman though, does the bubble still work on him with that giant noggin? With some nice highlights and detailing, he could easily work as a human lost in space type character who's shacked up with some misfit alien crew. The adventure pretty much writes itself at that point.

Yep, though I think he ends up looking a bit hunch backed with the extra piece on, but yeah there is a lot of space in that dome likely to accommodate different sized alien heads.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I also see him as a Commander Shepard type with Olek as his Garrus and Vorga (minigun chick) like Jack minus then space magic (unless I get some good effects pieces).
I'm also tempted to finally learn how to paint since I think this body is for asking for it.

.....I only ordered three figures and got the key. I was honestly a bit surprised by it. If I didn't know to expect the skull I never would've found either extra item. They were both tossed loose in the bottom of the box under the paper padding. Easily could've lost out on both items if I didn't search it good.

That image was from the Kickstarter, and if I remember right, they downscaled the head by 10% for the production after heaps of people pointed it out, and it still ended up looking too big, but not April O'Noggin levels of bobbleheadedness.

Yea, the actual production version looked a lot better, especially in hand. Shame they still have yet to reuse it, that's one of the few unique wave 1 heads that hasn'tbeen recolored. They've been teasing some sort of Otho 2.0, but it's been so long it's kind of getting ridiculous.

The only thing I've noticed is 2.0 fall over more often due to their feet and the occasional loose ankle joint.
Strangely enough, despite the ogre mold having thicker pegs, the first run of them had a large number of breakages, to the point that 4H now include a pamphlet with every figure telling you to heat joints before moving them, especially in cold weather. But I haven't had a figure snap yet.

Nah they're pretty much the same, though this is just my personal experience.
The only breaks I've had on a figure is the elbow armour on a goblin coming off and one time where a hand was in a 2.0s arm too tight and the hand came off the peg when I pulled on it.

Both Swigg and Father Christmas are 2.0 figures but they have a special neck peg to put 1.0 heads on. So both Santa heads could be reused as dwarves, and Swigg is the 2nd Goblin head that's 1.0

I don't own any, but I've been told the Brute scale are 1.0 for the most part, so you can partswap between them.

I like how the head differences let you use em as two different members of the same race.

I only got the space suit version myself, and I think he's great. Though I can not get his bubble helmet collar piece to stay on. They made such a simple and clever connection on their Mythic figures so I can't understand why they dropped the ball so hard on the Cosmic collar connection.

Overall, with the three figures I got, I enjoy them but I'm not super enthralled by em. Mythic figures have repeatedly blown me away, but these guys kind of disappoint me in many regards. They're great figures, but there's still a lot to be desired.

Same happened to me, I was able to get the hand back on with some heat and luckily I have the hand pack.
For whatever reason the arm sockets are very tight on the in-box hands, after I swapped them they popped out like normal and weren't nearly as tight.

I expected to love Slogg (and I do) but I'm actually really blown away by the sphexxian. The wings looks great in the clear plastic, and as a whole is bigger than I expected, I was almost expecting these guys to come out more like their goblins, but he's huge. Same happened to me with one of Olek's hands, peg was too tight, but don't panic, it's not really broken. I heated it up with a heat gun (hair dryer or hot water will work too) and just put it back together, seems fine now. Definitely annoying, but fortunately very fixable.

You can kinda tripod em with the tail, but if you really need a stand I'd suggest one with a thick clamp arm and strong joints. It wouldn't really have to hold em up, just keep em balanced, but these things are pretty damn heavy. Sadly I can't really recommend any specific stands.

Though on a side note, I wish he came with a saber like the Horseman in that pic. His standard sword is just too boring for an otherwise awesome set like this.

Shirtless Olek was just pre-tool for Lizardmen so I had no problem passing on him. The full space suit version looks much better overall, though I do have issues getting his bubble helm to stay on.

The Storm Collectible stands are pretty good ar holding heavy figures, they have thick plastic, a racket arm and the claws naturally hold together so you need to force them open a bit but it makes them tightly hold the figure.
Though the main problem is they don't move as much as normal stands.

I gave mine the Kronus weapons, they work pretty well with him I think.

I actually went with one of the swords from the Diamond Select Ringwraiths, stealing a weapon from one ghostly rider to give to another and all that. The Horseman actually has a better grip on it then the Wraith. But I might hunt down one of those axes as well, they are super nice looking and would befit someone known for lopping off heads.

When the first showed him off, I was excited and eager to grab him. But over time, I'm less inclined to actually pick him up. He looks fantastic, and for people new to the line he'd probably be a great figure. But I'm so deep into it that all I see is reused pieces. The soft goods and unique (to me) head are his only real selling points to me and I don't know if they're enough. Also, I have no idea what faction I'd put him in.

Honestly, when I first got him in hand I had the same exact problem. The whole collar piece just wouldn't stay in place and the bubble helm wouldn't fit over his head.

But I literally just picked him up to try it again, and the thing popped right on and now sits super snug. I even accidentally had the backdrop of this pic fall on him, and while it knocked him over it didn't knock the collar loose.

So it actually can fit, but it probably is just us doing something wrong. I had his head angled all the way down and hooked the collar by it's too front teeth onto his chest before forcing it back over his shoulders. This seemed to work well as it's still on there pretty tight.

That said, I really do not like how these collars connect. It's a very unstable connection and relies on those little teeth which I could easily see wearing away. I wish it had a dedicated peg system that was simple to attach but held it firmly in place. But I have a few complaints about these figures that I don't really want to get into just yet. I need to set up my desk so I can take actually decent pics of these guys. Pic related is quick and dirty and I just can NOT get a good pic without the flash blocking out half his face.

Personally, if this guy was on a basic sized body I probably would've grabbed him. I always like the idea of a "Good guy" Orc, and a shaman would've been a perfect role for one. But the nice guy magic using Orc being bigger then all the other Orcs? That just don't seem right to me. Hopefully future Brute scale Orcs are just that, Brutes. That said I already made my own headcannon "hero" Orcs. Vorthogg and the Orc with the silver helmet, whom I've dubbed Kozukk, eventually leave the rest of the horde and join Gorgo's splinter group to fight their own little rebellion against both the corrupt human powers and the purely evil Arethyr led version of the Horde. Vorthogg acting as a wizened old veteran who realizes pure, blind brutality will not better the lives of Orc kind in the long run, no matter who's in charge while Kozukk takes the role of brash, cocky young warrior who loves fighting tough opponents, but shows the potential to be more then just a purely savage weapon of war.

I really do need to update my faction pics though. My Orc horde totals nine figures these days, not including the Ogre or my Fury Orc Samurai. Sadly it's hard finding the time to set these guys up, my collection is slowly growing way out of control lol.

I was really excited to see videos of him as kind of a preview for Aracagorr, but seeing all the in-hand stuff of kragg cooled me down a bit. The tall torso/baby legs proportions stick out way more than I thought. Also, most of the cosmic wave getting vertical wrist hinges has been a game changer and it's disappointing he doesn't have them.

I didn't plan to buy the belt pack from the upcoming All Stars wave, but yeah, I think it's going to be a good idea to equip the older Mythic Legions with those, and in turn use the older simple belts on these monkes who are asking for something to store their sidearms. I think the simpler belt style will match well even.

I passed on the Not Man-E-Faces, but I will admit that shiny metal paint makes the figure look fantastic. All three heads also work really well on him, which is honestly kind of surprising.

But what was most important to me from watching that video is learning that the backpacks on these guys actually come off. I knew they were separately molded parts, but I thought they were permanently attached bits. But when he mentioned removable backpack, I grabbed my sentry and with a bit of mild effort, popped off that huge chunk on his back. It completely alters the look of the figure, but I don't know if I'd say it was for the better. Their base torso is very thin depth wise, but now I can peg a rifle on his back. It definitely gives him a much more different look from my suited Olek, and I planned to use the Sentry as some sort of android anyway so I may just leave him like this.

I'll try and get pics up later tonight.

I originally planned to use the alien face on him, but that green dragon face is just so damn nice. I almost regret grabbing the blue version as having multiples of this character might make him feel less special. But I guess I'll just have to make room for two giant dragon men in my eventual Saurian faction.

Also as mentioned >>10567768, this is a pic of Olek with the backpack and the TUSCC Sentry without. The Sentry's torso just seems way too flat without it, but otherwise I kinda like how slimmed down he feels. I probably should've chosen a different background as a grey figure in front of a grey backdrop isn't exactly the best idea, but it's really all I got.

I originally wanted to find a human head for him, but now without the backpack I might just leave the robot head and try and grab two more to just use as generic spacebot mooks.

And just for the hell of it, here's some Legions in tunics. The left one uses the Mezco Conan Slugfest padded tunic, and it works pretty well on a 2.0 body. The arms have to pop off and go up into the sleeves to get it on, but ones it's on it works well. The right tunic, as well as the hood on the night, are from a set I found on 5k toys. It comes with a pair of hoods, a pair of tunics but sadly only one belt. I can always make my own belt for the second one, but I need to grab a body for it first.

The lack of weapon storage really hurts these guys imo, though the white tiger actually does have a little loop on his shoulder strap. But he doesn't really come with any weapons that fit it well so it's almost a moot point. But I'll certainly be using Legion belts, armor and weapons on future figures I grab for this line.

Though I do want to complain that the "generic" armored figures being full priced just seems wrong. I know they sell cheaper naked cat army builders, but the wave three army builders are pretty much just as basic but cost the same as a full priced figure. I mostly plan to grab the cats, but doubt I'd bother actually army building any of em.

That Hyena man three pack from wave four looks super tempting though. Those guys would make a fantastic little pack of fiends to hunt both my cat people and other Legions figures at large. I just wish the random asymmetric gloves and boots thing would get toned down some more. Especially on potential army builders.

Also speaking of Olek, I got a second one since the first one came with bad QC, and for some reason the color of the waist joint is different. They don't feel any different, but the first one (lighter gray) carved lines into the ball socket, which made the connection super loose. New one can still pop off easily if I push it too far, but not nearly as bad.

I'm glad this wave is doing some more crazy looking aliens, the little worm scavenger guy is adorable, the space beast is pretty cool and I love the Space Marine suited three. Especially how the big head one has the same suit but different proportions, gives them a very cohesive "crew" feel. Though knowing there's supposedly six of these guys in the crew I'm half tempted to wait to see if the next three look better. The main blue guy looks great, but I'm not sold on his "alien" head. It's just too human like, and looks way too similar to Zende's head. I also wish he came with a better gun instead of another version of that space power tool. That's the fourth time it's been used and the third time it's been a tool. Just release a Space Miner set and throw all the attachments for it with him.

As of now I'll probably grab the Blue Space suit dude, because I want a big guy for my space team, the little worm dude and the scavenger chick. Though I think I'm more excited to see her parts get used in future Mythic figures then for the current figure herself. Those boots and arm wraps would make for a great Mythic Rogue, which the line is sorely lacking at the moment.

I actually thought it was Zende's head repainted, and it wasn't until I pulled up an image and compared them that I could tell the difference.
To be honest, all three of the humanoid heads are the weakest thing in the wave. The scavenger reminds me of a Na'vi, and the orange skinned baldies aren't doing anything for me.
It's cool I can use the spare Templar faces in their helmeted heads though. Give the blue one a skull face and some gold trim on his armor. For the Emperor.

Yeah, I already have plans to replace them.
I think I'll primarily use the robot alt head for the purple chick and Leodysseus for the dude (though I really wish I had kept his face plates now.

It's honestly kind of bizarre how similar the two heads are, but how different they actually are sculpted. Like even the details in the beards and the shapes of the lips are different, but overall it's the same basic face. If you're going to go through all the trouble of making a brand new face sculpt, why not actually make it new and unique and interesting?

I didn't even think of swapping faceplates though, maybe I'll just do that. But I would rather keep him as an alien as I don't want the human in the team to be that big. But I'm sure I'll figure things out once they're in hand.

While I don't give a rats ass about who they're supposed to be homaging, the "Furious Four" sets ended up being some really nice figures. The fact that they made it so their colors match the previously released "Fury Orc" makes em that much cooler. They just have so much potential and they just look amazing as a team.

Yeah pack in beasts would be cool, though I think the ones on the Mytnic side have been pretty lackluster so far.
The hawks are just attached to a glove and the bone beasts the zombie lady come with are either statues or just 5poa.
What I'm waiting on is that bear mount they teased years ago, as someone who just buys that to supplement my barbarians that would be very cool.

Yea the Mythic "pets" so far have been absolutely awful so far. They "look" nice, but really add no play value. They're mostly just solid chunks and the birds can't even come off the bracer.

After seeing what Hasbro can do with bird pets with Freedom, these oversized bracelets just don't work for me.

Also, Belualyth should've had bone limbs. She would've been way more interesting that way. As is, she looks like a recolored mirror inverse Artemyss Silverchord 2.

They really are.
The Mercurian is a great army builder for greco-romans or skeletons, and the orc is a great beast man, with shoes or hooves, and a nice selection of hands.

About the only downside is that because 1.0's need to have a butt hole drilled, if you want to have the tail on, you need to switch out the pelvis every time.

I got two of each when they dropped, and I plan on getting at least 2 of the Mythic Walter skeletons; 2 or 4 if I can afford it.

I ended up getting 3 of each of them to make international shipping worth it.
I was also planning on getting as many skeleton Waltors as possible for the same reason, mainly because skeletons, and also because the Cosmic one doesn't interest me. But they posted on FB that the non Powercon exclusive version of this guy will be available next year, so I'm hoping he's available at the same time as the Legionscon exclusives.

Not butterfly joints. It's the exact same format as the usual articulation, just with better range in the shoulders and elbows.
The 3 knights in Necronominus wave and the 2 knights in All Stars 6 are all the figures shown so far who are using the new knight parts.
Pic related is the best I can find of a figure without pauldrons on do you can see the cut of the shoulder socket
