Are matte spray coats easy to rub off as you pose the figures, or is this just not a good one? I used this on one of my figures and after a few posing, some spots are shiny already.

Are your hands constantly greasy or something? Unless you handle them on a daily basis or use them to jack off, the topcoat should not be peeling off that quickly.

Also Tamiya coats are not that good, get Mr.Color GX or the canned Super Clears and apply 3 or so light coats.

Do these leave a texture on plastic? I have a Rust-Oleum matte spray and it does make the finish matte but it also gave it a slight orange peel even though I shake the can well and spray at a proper distance.

found your problem
also dont spray if the temps are cold or if it's too humid, leads to frosting and orange peel
you can always sand it at 4000+ grit if it's too bad

I figured. It was the only one available in the store at the time so I didn't have a choice. I usually prefer to use Krylon products. Just wasn't sure if that was normal for matte spray in general since I've only ever used satin or gloss for other projects. I live in the southern AZ desert so cold weather or humidity aren't usually a factor where I'm at.
