Same, but also the Ninjago sets around the same time. I did pick up the motorcycle chase sets with the swat vehicle and the Bad Cop's car, but I never pulled the trigger on the dropship even though it was really cool. I also really liked the robot cop aesthetic and so I'm swapping any cop set minifigs with robot heads I pick up on bricklink to keep the theme going.

I looked it up, and technically it was used for some Knights Kingdom action figure limbs, some printed plastic sheet "sails," and some Duplo parts. Still, Mindstorms was the only place to use it for "generic" components that weren't overspecialized to hell.

Yeah, a deep dive on that would be cool. Have to play around with bricklink/brickset filters, there must be a way to determine that.

this build is fucking hell at this point, i could speedrun H2 LASO legendary without dying before I could figure out how to build this thing; the problem is the base goes underground in-game, and I'm not sure how to approach it without fucking up the shaping of it

Would it be best to do it without the inside so it's more size-accurate, or should I raise the entire thing to fit the inner base so it's got more substance to it?

Blood Gulch was one thing because there's no basement in the CE version; I'm almost tempted to move onto The Pit from H3 or the bridge from the Two Betrayals mission on Halo: CE cuz this shit is fucking retarded to try and build right now

Depends on how the CAD software you are using defines “assemblies”. Remember going underground means you need to literally go underground. I’m assuming all the stuff you’ve put together so far is above ground. Unless you plan on fleshing out the underground I wouldn’t bother because it will make the model look wonky. Do you plan on digging a hole in the ground and that’s where you will display this thing? Or a hole in a table?

The assembly in the pic is with the "underground" portion included - it just seems too high near the back as the way the base is in Halo 3 has the ramp going into the ground a bit (picrel)

I think it'd be fine if I were to do the actual base itself and had a little bit of creative liberty where I don't bother with building terrain on/around it, as if the whole thing is above ground just so there's an interior

Just received my first BrickTactical order & compared the Brickarms Battle Rifle with the BT one, holy shit I can't believe how bad the BA one looks now

I also noticed that my minifig hands lose their grip power after holding BrickArms guns for a while, I've had some minifigs on display for around 2 weeks and their hands are already slightly less grippy, has anyone else experienced this?

That’s likely due to the tolerances of those special guns. The minifigs are designed to hold onto 1 universal diameter (Lego standard). Even if it was fractions of mm in diameter, it’s still enough to cause enough plastic deformation to ruin your minifigs.

I just checked one of my minifigs that's been holding a BA gun for the last couple of years and there doesn't appear to be any difference, I thought I noticed that it was a tiny little bit looser, but I don't know if that is the case, or I'm just imagining it because you put it in my head.

That said, I have noticed a few c-clips that have been holding BA guns have developed cracks... but then again they do that when holding official Lego bars.

I respect both BrickArms and BrickTactical's goals and work.
BrickArms, while making detailed weapons still aim to have the weapon stylized to a point it doesn't become obvious at first glance that its not a lego piece.

BrickTactical heads more into on-model.

Both can be understood and its down to personal preference.

Personally I like the Brickarms more in this case because I like the idea of leaving the barrel default lego bar size and shape.

Archimedes tomb was all about water puzzle. It would be hard to make as well. Honestly I really can't see any scene a compelling LEGO set sold be based on. The movie suffers from The Last Crusade syndrome where it's mostly filled with chases and there are no real setpieces to stand out.

I mannaged to get quite a lot of magenta bricks even if some aren’t exactly the right style this year, I also got a lot of this one weird yellow color and a bit more OG gray, I have a ton of transparent pink studs which is good since the vehicle power is gonna be based off the clear pink studs, besides the semi minifigure problem I got some more interesting pieces I plan on using for some ships like 2 cobwebs or 2 basketball hoop rings for some sort of engine or wing pieces, getting more pink clear stuff is a later priority, I just gotta set up a brick link page maybe or something else along with figuring out the cast of miners since this is a rock raiders type deal

The minifigures have mainly red as the consistent part of the suits for the miners (to stand out against the vehicles and because I like red), Here’s an example of a spy in the ranks, thinking if I should use one brickarms or something realistic pistol I bought for a dollar or a brickbuilt futuristic blaster for him for example. Don’t worry so much about the colors at first if you have a lot of grey for example. Make the thing out of grey if it’s quicker, then replace portions of the grey with the colors you want to make it.

You need to move your LEGO. I can tell they are right by a series of windows and if any light touches them, especially the white and brown pieces, they will break and/or discolor.

Thanks! The next project will be a Sherriff's office with a jail, as I already had some good stickered parts to make use of. I got to this stage and ran out of bricks in the right shapes and colors again, so gonna need to do another bricklink order. Although that should probably wait until I'm paid next. So might be a while before my next update.

Are you the anon who had the large snowy Wild West display? It's a shame to see it all broken down but I suppose that's the inevitable part of all lego after long enough. Do you have any more pics of it before you disassembled it all?
