>learn about Hot Toys with the old Dark Knight figures
>too expensive for me at the time, prioritize other lines
>years pass, they get better
>figure I could buy some of my absolute favorites
>finances take a hit, put it off
>see how they're turning into a Marvel/SW exclusive company
>see how they're churning out the same characters over and over
>decide to just wait until a character's last appearance to get them
>missed out on most SW stuff
>never bought a Vader because of the pleather
>kept waiting for the RotS 20th to get my basic wants like Anakin and the such
>HT randomly announces this
>it's rooted to compete with InArt
>don't even know what to do
I've been 100% into collecting 1/6th for maybe 3 years now and I'm this close to saying fucking it all. I bought the InArt Joker knowing that he'd stand the test of time, but this is ridiculous. I'm mainly a Marvelfag and SWfag so these were always my main wants, but it's getting ridiculous. I still don't have a Strange because they haven't given him his proper cape. But I'm nearing a point where I'd rather buy 3-4 500-1k$ InArt figures per year, rather than play this HT game where I don't know when they'll randomly drop an update only to reveal the same thing a year later. I've got a General Kenobi on PO, but who's to say that they won't do a rooted Obi for RotS 20th? Will their rooted sculpts even look good? InArt can do it because they're releasing 2 figures per year and putting 4-5 for PO. HT is going hard at 70 POs and 50 releases per year.
I'm just tired. All I wanted when I got into this hobby were the basic SW characters, some one-offs and hoped that they'd make some X-Men figs and a couple of other Marvel characters. Now I've got to wait until 2028 or some shit for the X-Men movies to even start, let alone get going and give me the costumes I want.
Is anyone else from the 1/6th circle just wanting to go full InArt? Who knows, maybe by 2029 they'll have the Marvel/SW licenses too.
