Availability is a coin flip because stores themselves are worse, but online retailers make things easier.

I feel like 2012-2015 or so was a peak era for imports.
Yeah we get more articulation and in some cases better sculpting, but 2012-2015 hit this solid era in terms of playability/articulation/price.

I forget is it was 2012 or 2013 but one of those just had a bunch of super solid releases that held up well

I'd say 2007 to about 2010. We started getting TVC quality Starwars figures more frequently and clone wars brought us the height of product availability for the franchise. 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe came out. By 2010 we had a good selection of both 3.75 and 6 inch scale figure options.

Then they started to cheap out on the small scale marvel figures, making less vehicles for the small scale Starwars and eventually making it a limited line, G.I. Joe started getting difficult to find and arctic Destro were eveywhere clogging shelves and quality of product dropped on the second movie.

Imports have never been better so yes. Price is slowly inflating out of control though, and I really start to squint when I have to pay 140 bucks for a single figure.
