FWIW, it is extremely easy to mod the tank turret to spin 360. Look it up on youtube.
Additionally I saw someone on here a month-ish ago designing 3D-printed shoulders that did tab in together, and they looked good, but I've NO idea if he finished or where he might've uploaded them if so.
Agreed on the tank missiles, though, that's incredibly bizarre they can't go forward. And I don't know how you could even potentially fix summin like that without redesigning the entire top shell of the turret.

Disagree on the left hand though, I'm glad they retained its claw shape from the show and og toy. The lack of a shiv hand sucks though, but I fuckin bet they're saving it for the Megatron S recolor they're doing.

Well of course, they arent fully in control and theyd get in trouble for saying "yes were doing x" without approval. They can try to do a million cool things but they have to get some suit to agree to try it, but its still good to hear that at the least the team actually building the things is fully aware of and excited about doing tons of fun and niche figures, from the outside its easy to feel like they dont understand what we want, but they really do

He's gonna be a bit tricky to pull off satisfyingly. It might actually work better to have the mantle transform into both the arms AND legs, and have the extra-long-grab-shit-tentacles just sling over his shoulders in robot mode or something.

HMMM I like the shoulder pads but I wouldn't be opposed to this. He's size appropriate but would probably need to be bigger to improve the figure to any significant degree. There should also be an octopus TF. Can't just be Tako Tank forever.

My thinking is they'd be flexible enough to be wings, shoulder drapes, or a cape. ideally they would also be able to close around him in front, but that is asking too much especially for his size class.

Have they fix the knee and the weak gun holding hands problem with the MP44 mold with the later color releases or are they mostly the same?

I played with a KO version of the thing and while the knee wasn't a problem but the damn hands can't hold the gun

I really want to get the proper MP and the new G1 seems cheap enough but I don't want it if it will have the same issues as the original

Just got the Earthspark Grimlock today and I must say that this guy is really fun. I didn't like Grimlock's Cyberverse aesthetics so getting to experience the transformation with a very nice looking design is cool. Apart from the elbows being a bit limited in motion, it's also pretty nicely articulated, so I would 100% recommand it if you like the design.

It's referring to how Classics Hound's feet are hollow on the inside so it looks like he's standing on his toes all the time. From the outside perspective his feet and legs are normal, but any angle that lets you see the inside just turns his legs into something weird.

even if that weren't hollow, it would still look the same.. which is like he is either clumsily digitigrade or at least standing on tiptoe in a different way.. the 'calves' are too low for these legs to really read properly. I still don't dislike it though. i mean that's an ugly hollow spot but it isn't really changing the look, and the standard these days is way worse.

I assume you mean ROTB Scorponok for both potential Scorponoks and Sandspear only for Scorpulator. Can you basically invert that scorp so the transformation would be accurate too and the robot legs are underneath? Remember, it's Transmetal so the organic parts need to be hidden

He's okay, but turns into another boring H-tank. The other Shockwave at least has a second Targetmaster function to make up for his 'spaceship' mode. Also, the SS doesn't have a gun-hand - that's just a normal handheld blaster.

He's a Core class, just like the Legacy one. It's weird that he's both Studio Series AND Core, but that's what he is - which is why the Legacy one is the better of the two in my opinion, since it at least doubles as a Targetmaster for normal sized 'bots while this one is just 'small Bumblebee Movie Shockwave'.

That's the point of the Core Class - they're miniature versions of the bigger characters, made for a budget. If you're looking for a normal-sized Shockwave, you'll have to hunt down one of the two Siege ones.

Its not an unreleased toy from a g2 mold which was a theme of the G2 toxitron line. Toxitron was an outlier but he was a G2 mold and unreleased and was a fun way to make the G2 colors part of the story.

Plus they're doing Shattered Glass and SG Thundercracker id Action Master colored so Im sure we'll see him in that eventually.

this is an admirable attempt at making a satisfying transformation, but I think more care needs to be put into flipping the shoulderpads down on the arms and legs in beast mode, and in the end the limb swap really accomplishes nothing. i don't even know what they were getting at with the biramous arms. it's almost hard to tell which is meant to be the beast mode, when the beast has bigger pauldrons and a really similar chest like that, and the robot mode has such a snarly face.

Just peak faucet-hot. scalding water. then what I suggest is holding it together in a makeshift vise, say, two books. slowly add more weight if it doesn't flex right away.

You realize that Transformers takes place in an established multiverse, right? And that there are multiple instances of characters from different universes crossing over and interacting with characters they normally shouldn't be able to (including alternate versions of themselves)? That's literally the plot of the old Universe toyline and the Earth Wars phone game, among others; characters keep getting spatially displaced due to Unicron hijinks or Space Bridge shenanigans, among other things, and often end up meeting multiple versions of themselves and other characters. Hell, even if you ignore multiverse stuff, there's still in-universe examples of cloning as well, so it's still not all that unusual even in a self-contained universe.
My point is that there's no harm in owning a bunch of the same character, since you can come up with pretty much any reason you want to justify it and it would still be believable in established Transformers canon. Buy the characters you like, come up with a justification for them later.

My main exceptions are version of a character that are from substantially different continuities such as armada prime vs g1 prime or molds that have been extensively retooled so its not as obviously a copy

it's amazing how they ended BW at the fucking top, and immediately said "let's pivot to something people will like... less." and killed a hugely successful line that had brought transformers back from the brink. animals saved the franchise an then BM tainted the well so hard, nobody wanted to even touch them again until cybertron or whatever with the beast planets.

sure but more articulations doesn't mean cheaper plastic (that stinks too), i have transformed it 4 times as delicately as i could and it already has stress marks on a joint
also as i said the even titans return stuff feels less fragile, and the price point was almost the same too

picked up cheetor today from a local Walmart. there's still an Airazor there but I'll get that next week when I get paid again. SS102 comes Saturday then mainline Optimus goes back to my son's room. not gonna lie, cheetor leaves a lot to be desired for me.

Im using them for extra stability because I took this picture on a second story rail and remember that anon who was at the top of an apartment and tried to take a pic of his figma attack on titan girl who fell off and smashed lol

He has that giant Trigger hinge gimmick that can fall down at any moment and make him fall over cause it cant lock down it was kind of nerve wracking to take a pic

He's noticeable different, worse and hollow gappy parts compared to original artwork
