>>10563021Yeah, I can acknowledge that. Like I said, it's something I don't even think about after years of doing it, but if someone pointed it out to me, I would want to mention it to new potential buyers. It's just the right thing to do.
I do not consider knees a trivial point usually, but keep in mind it is only in altmode, his bot knees work great. And I DO typically expect compromises in altmode, full articulation is only expected in bot mode. Look at how many BW figs have near-unposeable lumps as altmodes. This isn't to say I wouldn't LIKE better knees, but I am saying it's not unexpected.
Actually, I think I just figured out a potential solution. You had me looking at the figure closer and I think it's possible to have it both ways. If you knock the pins out on both halves of his dino shins, then cut off the internal pegs and flip them around, I think it should transform the same way, but with forward facing knees. There are only two downsides:
1. The forearm/shin will not peg together anymore, just friction fit
2. The toe claws around his wrist will be flipped in bot mode, so he has one on top and two below. This doesn't make any difference to me, in fact I always thought he'd look better that way. Your own mileage may vary.
Anyway, I don't expect anyone to do it, but I looked at it carefully and it seems feasible.
