I think light piping is the best possible thing on all robot figures 9 out of 10 times.
The reason its so villified is because companies won't make the eyes big enough or the entire back of the head clear plastic.
When you add only a small window light piping sucks.
The only places light piping would always suck is stuff like dragon Megatron who has a tail blocking the back of his head.
Overall I wish Hasbro takara and bandai would embrace light piping
