Orthodox Christianity has an iconographic tradition which predates the Messiah. It is considered blasphemous to portray Jesus as anything but a cream-skinned, light brown hair middle-eastern man. He also had a small beard, with His long hair braided and behind His back.
Chinese Jesus, African Jesus, White Jesus are only images with no real worship value. It's fine in the sense that people understand it's just irreverence but most people aren't that sophisticated. Saying that that T-pose pose statue in Rio is Jesus and has religious value is blasphemous. There are strict rules about depicting the Messiah. You need to add key identifying traits. Absent those traits then that statue is equally Peter Parker than it is Jesus.
Also Jesus, although middle-eastern in appearance, had blue eyes which is a trait that many middle-easterners even have today. The reason why He always has hazel eyes in Iconography is the same reason why every person depicted in icons has hazel eyes: to avoid stirring the passions.
