I work for a decent size toy company and trying to book hotels has been a pain in the ass. A lot of the hotels in NYC right now are unavailable due to housing migrants, entire hotels not accepting any reservations until further notice. And if you can find a room or two, they’re priced sky high. I dmed someone I know at another large company and he told me they’ve had to put their team in an expensive room and 2 air bnbs. This is gonna be a shit show this year but at least there isn’t a blizzard.

Las Vegas has a similar incident in the early 2000s where 3 shows were in town plus UNLV had parent week and everything was booked.

I’m sorry I just had to vent. If you speak up about it, someone would report you to HR and they would fire you.
