Plastic actually degrades faster when it's stored away and not allowed to breathe, so keeping things sealed actually worsens condition faster than if they were open and exposed to air.

you know true collectors actually keep their toys sealed. if you wanted to play with them just buy them OOB on ebay or something for a fraction of the price.

I open up all my toys. I never understood the idea of "collecting" toys if you're not going to enjoy them. The boxes are too massive and take up too much space. You might as well collect slabbed comics or even video games, which are going to be worth more in the end anyway.
