The platinums don't cost any more than the regular and are able to be ignored. It's the Collectors editions that are out of hand. THIS is all you get for 30 bucks? No one wants a fucking card stand. I was worried when the new Power Girl design was announced Todd would make a figure of her but now it's been a few months since the hype and mostly been forgotten, like all of Peej's other horrible redesigns, so if Todd makes a figure it'll probably be the classic costume.

Notice how basically half the line in 2023 is gold label now? This is really weird, it feels like something bad is happening with the line. I can't tell the exact implication of basically just having half the line store exclusive. It's like they know customers won't buy wide release in large enough quantities. so to make back the licensing fee they have to take the extra money from the stores and produce in small, limited quantities.

We know the line isn't sell that well except for the exclusives by all the discounts on regular items. Basically Walmart and others saw how figures like Azrael and Parallax sold out so fast almost everywhere, but they don't like the main SKU as much because they are made in higher quantities that lead to pegwarming. So smaller production run exclusives is where the line is mostly headed.

Gas is $4 a gallon here. I'm not buying a bunch of Duke Thomases and driving to another store to return them in the hopes my local store will order a bunch of pegwarmers.
They used to order new waves but the Batmans and Supermans and cool figures sold out. All that's left is shit no one wants like emo Superman.
