>>10600296I should stress that the majority of the time Liko and Roy are the main characters, Dot has become more prominent but even then she's mostly operating from her room. The others are featured, but in their own episodes when prominent.
A fair few Pokemon have appeared. Lots of starters early on, some gen 9, bunch of bug types and other forest Pokemon, lots of Magneton jamming signals, Corviknight/Skarmory for the bad guys, etc. The start had the bad guys involved a lot more, and they pop up once in a while, but in between that there's slice of life episodes. Like the last one was about the chef, an old friend/rival of his, and their Alcremie. They made nice, and that's probably the end of that side story. The episode before that was about Captain Pikachu and some of Friede's backstory. Next ep will be Liko and Roy doing training (?) and battling 2v1 against a Galar gym leader.
It's kind of all over the place. I think they're catching slowly because it feels like the dynamic they've established would have to change. For example since the start the 2 mains have been with their starters, then Wattrel shows up and now Roy always has both of them out. What happens when he gets 3, or 4? Are they always all out? Or maybe he starts to only keep Hogator out and the others alternate? Liko is always holding Sprigatito, does that dynamic remain regardless of what else she may catch?
Also I'll add that I'm not some anime connoisseur. I don't really care about relative quality, so long as the content is sufficiently interesting to me. Up to you if you want to give it a try. The early episodes have some pretty fun battles, Charizard vs Ceruledge, and Pikachu vs Ceruledge were pretty good ones. Also adding to the newbies comment, Sprigatito and Hogator (just realized I forgot his dub name was Fuecoco) are basically spamming Leafage and Ember nonstop, sometimes using scratch and tackle, and eventually learning quick attack and stomping tantrum.
