The cartoon defies Lego norms by being a 2D cartoon. It's not only more expressive, but that it also unchains itself from the fact that it's a lego property. Ninjago was a pain to watch because I couldn't stand human motions portrayed by minifigures that can't even do that, alongside non-lego assets like an actual dragon instead of brick-built ones.

I think a movie length episode is expected to deal with the Azure Lion/Three Demons arc. Whether we get more after that, I don't think anything has been confirmed.

There are already some leaked sets names leaked for the january 2024 wave. An official annoucement for season 5 will probably be in december on the Chinese Expo.
