I privately do a happy jiggle when I get a new figure, take a bunch of pictures and pose them in my detolf. I have to be calm to handle them as I have the shakiest hands.

I started collecting because I never had certain toys as a kid but it's not because there's something wrong with me but rather because I always like certain aesthetics. I would however agree with you that if collecting gets to a certain level, it can be a sign of mental illness. I have like 20-25 figures from different lines and I can't imagine having 50+

I'm surprisingly sober in my enthusiasm when I get a model kit. I enter this state of "now I'm gonna take my sweet time to work on this thing". I don't know if I am getting old but I like this better than the usually fleeting excitement when you get something that's instantly gratifying.

It dependson the toy. Usually I go 'yes' quietly to myself like Kip in Napoleon Dynamite.
If it is toy I've been wanting for awhile I'll get pretty excited and be louder with my exictment to myself. I'll also usually bring the toy with my around my home for the rest of the day (except the bathroom).
