De-yellowing premium figures

I have never had to de-yellow anything, and as I understand it normally you go about it putting toy in bleach and it's gg in 2 days or scrubbing some anti-oxidazer.
However I'm scared shitless about putting painted, multi-material figure in bleach. Has anyone done this? Or is there a safer alternative?

Hydrogen peroxide will damage/desaturate paint over time and there's a pretty high chance that the whitened plastic will turn yellow again after a while, sometimes even worse than before.

Samefagging, but I had a brainfart when you said you were using bleach and all I could do was scream NOOOOOOOO and I couldn't remember what you should use.
Hydrogen Peroxide is what you want. Bleach will fuck the plastic harder than Mandingo fucked Piper Peri.
When I did it to some old Lego, it didn't fuck any of the printing on the castle walls (white walls with red brick prints from the Pirate sets), so I'm not sure with actual paint, but I doubt it. Bleach would definitely fuck the paint, I guarantee.

This is true about it re-yellowing. My Lego walls didn't, but I remember someone doing it with some old Kenner Stormtroopers, and while the torso stayed white, the arms and legs gradually got worse over the course of about 5 years. So I guess it depends on the plastic.

The other thing I've read you can do is use a magic eraser, but I can't vouch for that. But it was mentioned in here.

Apparently it's essentially ultrafine sandpaper and you more or less "just" sand the upper layer of the plastic off with that thing.

I can't quite recall what they're called, I think Hair Developer? It's a water/hydrogen peroxide thingy that I think they use to prep hair for dyeing. The volume 40 is 12% hydrogen peroxide.

Just slather it over your figure and use UV light or the sun.

Given that it has the look and consistency of man-juice, you can also take "humorous" hot glue-esque photos before the UV/Sunlight phase.

Why Hair Developer and not leaving the figure in a tub of hydrogen peroxide? Precisely because of its consistency and stickiness, which will let you apply it directly to the figure, rather than depend on vapors or whatnot.

How the fuck did that even happen? I have mine since release and the white on GaiGar has yellowed somewhat, but just slightly. Was it on display close to a window or something?

use acne cream with peroxide listed as an active ingredient
do not simply dump it into a bucket of dilute bleach unless you disassemble it as it 100% will fuck all the paint and metal up
