>>10615346Just got revealed this afternoon. I love Mighty Max and always hoped for a revival so this is kind of exciting but a lot makes me disappointed...
The Good IMO:
-The simple fact that Mighty Max is back in any capacity, even though its not Mattel making these, and its simply licensed to some other company
-They tried to keep the same spirit the originals had, even mimicking the packaging and illustrations pretty well
The Bad IMO:
-Singular Point is the company making these. Who is that? Who knows. Can't find any info about them or anything else they've made before
-Price. $20 for the standard colors, and $25 for the GITD and translucent ones is pretty pricey for what you're getting. But that's kind of expected with how much tooling and labor costs. Sucks that they have to rely on repaints/recolors to get their money's worth from the tooling too.
-Paint is lacking on these is lacking compared to the originals, but again, all that is so much more expensive these days so I kind of expected that.
-These are Horror Heads essentially, and those were probably the least liked product from back in the day. I'm sure everyone would have preferred Doom Zones, even if it meant paying a lot more. I feel the value would be felt more in a Doom Zone with more figurines/separate pieces, more sculpted details, more play value.
-One of the first two is a hat. Seriously? Mighty Max, known for all the monstrous playsets, and you choose a hat?
