I just can't see these being worth the money. Yeah, I like Metal Slug, but not that much. And Fio just looks like a cosplayer. Tarma and Marco retained a little of that classic goofy MS style, but they tried too hard to make Eri and Fio "pretty," just like the shitty later games did.

I want my classic nerdy Fio that is definitely based on James Spader from Stargate

It's not that I can't afford them, I just don't think I'm going to be satisfied with what I get for the cost. And I'm ok with just not owning MS merch, it's better to me than settling for something I am unhappy with for a high price.

This isn't my first rodeo, people went nuts and claimed "there will never be any other MS toys!" when the little trading figs came out, and the third party slug kits, and the transforming slug figure, and... I'll be patient, and if nothing else ever comes out, that's ok.

Same for figures like 1000Toys Hellboy, his soft torso is holding up great. And the RAH Evas. I think the industry shifted to some new shit around that time, like maybe a soft PVC mix. It doesn't feel like the old silicone, it's firmer and doesn't seem to age as poorly.

yeah I've heard of stuff like joint breakages on the Mk1 ninjas, but no silicone-esque tearing or crumbling. I have some fairly old Storm figures myself with soft torsos that are still holding up well.

Yeah but I've been waiting for Metal Slug merch for years since I love the series. FINALLY a good Sv-001 came out, and FINALLY we get legit top tier characters. Sure it's not Figma or Revoltech, but you got to realize this is all we're lucky enough to get probably forever.

I just want the Aliens too. I'd buy one.
