I was originally trying to order 2 but I guess I double ordered and forgot about it.

Not difficult if you're responsible and don't live above your means. I bring in 4k a month and manage a mortgage, car, bills, and food while still spending $800 - $1000 a month on toys. There's definitely negatives. Like the fact that I could be saving $12k a year in a savings account but buy plastic instead. But that's a me problem, not a middle class issue.

Sometimes a figure is on preorder for so long I slip up and order another. Somehow I managed to order to GI Joe Classified Snowjob figures a couple of months apart.

I was a little embarrassed at a toy show last year. I bought some old DC Direct Catwoman figure for cheap and showed it to my friend. Turns out we both bought that same figure at a Borders or something several years back. Damned if I know where the original copy is now though.

Those things rarely go up in price. You'd be buying something that will likely go down in value.

No matter how good you store something, it will eventually deteriorate. That paint is slowly going to melt and the plastics will become softer.

You would have been better of playing it instead of waiting it for to rot.

What are you talking about? Paint on figures isn't going to "melt" for like 50+ years. And plastic doesn't become softer with age, it becomes harder and more brittle, thus prone to breaking.

I do doubt these dumb glow in the dark and sketch variants will go up in price in the long term though
