The problem is not big red disks on each side of the figures arms. It affects maybe 10% of figures. Yes its bad, but its not the real issue.
The issue is that it interrupts the sculpt. This is super noticeable on skin tone figures since there's a shadow in the indent.
The trade off is that Hasbro's QC has gotten worse and you'll get pinless figures with wild deviance in the tightness. Yes I can fix this, but I shouldn't have too.
The only way pinless figures improve is if they hire a turboautist to do QC testing. It would literally have to be one of us, who's obsessed with figure feel.
Unfortunately Hasbro purposefully avoids hiring people who enjoy their product in anything except design.
Toybiz was filled with people obsessed with toybiz and that really helped their figure design be a few years ahead of where it should've been. You can even hear rumors about toybiz shutting down because the designers refused to cut costs.
