They look pretty underwhelming. It feels like they took the modular concept of the "-izers" and were just like "well we've done bases, fossils, and garbage, so... rocks next?" I get that it's also supposed to be a Rock Lords homage, but I wish they'd stop to think about the inherent appeal of the toy they're going to make before just dipping blindly into the nostalgia bucket.

I'm not even sure how he got top billing. He's a complete unknown for the western side of the fandom, outside of one mini series.

Which might explain why he's so big, he was massive in that mini series.

While you can just rotate the whole thing to give Megatron his arm blaster I wish the turret section of his tank corpse weapon turned instead of the whole thing despite the toy being a Core Class. Whenever they get around to doing a Leader class toy of him I hope the turret just needs to rotate and not the whole thing. It's actually kinda ingenious how the tank switch-weapon doubles as both his arm cannon referencing G1 Megatron and Galvatron while the sword is an evolution of his Armada body's left arm hidden shank weapon. I've probably read way too deep than any of the toy designers but it seems to flow so well, along with how the Armada body provided the perfect mold for Megatron to cocoon and hatch out into his Energon body.

I really need someone to explain to me how Tidal Wave is going to work if he really is a titan and he's supposed to combine with slightly-bigger-than-a-voyager Armada Megatron. And it better not just be them throwing in a bunch of smaller Tidal Wave bits that you slap on him either.

I think Star Saber wasn't as big a problem so much as his buddy Power Up Lion. You might get Star Saber overall, but Victory Leo's look and role always mean he's going to be an accessory first so selling him solo makes him that much more hard.

Star Saber isn't a Prime or a Convoy and doesn't look like one, and his popularity is that of a cult following more than anything. Big Convoy despite being Japanese only and barely any apperances in the west save for his toy mold being repainted into other characters is distinctly an Optimus Prime type character and that gets him automatic popularity points. Magmatron follows suit as people would be curious who Big Convoy faces against.

I am incredibly tired of alt mode wheels that look like the thinnest, flimsiest, unpainted, clip-on garbage imaginable. Immediately makes the toy look like dollar store garbage no matter how good the rest of it might be.

They rotate that way - the original toy had a feature like Fuzor Silverbolt where the wings would swing forward to fire missiles. The new toy removes the automatic wing flapping mechanism and swaps the firing missiles for cannons, but you can see the joint where the wings can be folded back to a normal position in the back.
Honestly, I don't think he looks too bad (I'm just hoping the bronze bits look better in-hand than they do in the promos) - I missed out on this guy ages ago and could never bring myself to pay the aftermarket prices for him or Razorclaw, so I'll be getting him regardless.

The backpack isn't quite as unbearable with a proper look at it.
Definitely a compromise for achieving her Cyberverse appearance though, as opposed to just creating her from scratch with a different transformation engineering.
Though, frankly they haven't recently pulled off a fembot without resorting to significant backpack kibble, so it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference.

The entire toy is polarizing. CV Windblade heavily borrows from her g1 design(the comic version), the jet is the biggest departure. United toy would ideally look similar to her LG toy in robot mode, but with a bust closer to the t30 toy and the blue outline of the CV.

Instead, this toy feels like a new design that they tried to force as a CV version. They don't even add the blue paint on the turbines.

I get that there's a lot more limitations with size and parts-count compared to 15 years ago when the original line came out, but Op's truck mode wheels just feel way to far back, and the feet stick up a lot in the middle. It honestly look worse than pretty much any of the TFA mainline Ops' truck modes in those regard. It probably isn't helped the the stark division between the solid grey front bumper piece and the blue of his leg pieces.
The bot-mode does look good though, so perhaps getting the legs on that right took priority.

It also might have looked a bit more natural if the front-most wheels weren't being covered, and it just owned being a six wheeled truck. As is I missed them entirely the first few times I looked at it, which makes it look unbalanced.

As far as price, I'd feel wrong gouging on a toy that's been literally collecting dust on a shelf in a closet this whole time. For him at the moment, let's say $40 before shipping. If we both can find more to dump in the box, prices could shift around. I assume you're in the USA for this one.

I've never been a "I know what I have" sort of person. None of my collection was ever bought with the intent of resale. And this Razorclaw I can look at and see flaws: scuffed paint on his flaws on his chest, a wonky elbow that needs tightening, and certainly in need of some sort of wipe down from the build up of dirt and dust from over the years. I've just been immensely lazy about motivating myself to make any sort of BST post here or even on TF forums. Too much price figuring and back-and-forth and getting to the post office, etc. Makes one not motivated to even start, even if I'm looking at a whole bunch of guys and going "I really should move these on".

RB Chase and BWII Tasmania Kid are the only mustbuy's for me, they both look stellar. Maybe Core SL Galvatron if I have spare change but eh. Thundertron looks nice, but without the attachment to his character I can't justify spending $35 on him.
Really think Chase is the highlight today though. His head is a stellar update of his show model, definitely picking him up.

Yeah, I'm thinking he's fuckin' sick. They even got the detail of the differently-shaped lamps on his forearms right! Fucking amazing that TFA, TFP, RiD'15, and even Cyberverse got such butchered designs, while Rescue Bots got one of the most faithful adaptations possible. I was sure they'd fuck up his head at least, but nah it looks great too!

Only thing I would do is give him a proper Rescue Bots insignia, instead of the normal Autobot symbol. Anybody know where I could get good RB decals? I've never gotten TF decals before.
