Take TransFormers, for instance. It's been my main collecting focus for basically forever. Over a few years, they took everything from me. MP did a 180, reissues dried up, and Kingdom onward, no matter what Clown World says, has increasingly less G1 (there's literally _nothing_ in Legacy United W1). So I'm free, right? Nope. Because I fell down the 3P legends rabbit hole.
Even stuff I have a much more casual interest in trickles out interesting stuff. I was pretty much done with Marvel. Then they put out never-evers like animated Doc Ock and faceprint WS Black Widow. Or McFarlane finally doing a decent Riddler. Or a random new company takes a crack at Voltron. So it's never really over. Just maybe slow enough to catch your breath.
