...but I think I bought the last male adventurer figure they had. There looks like there's other sellers with them on Aliexpress right now though, but you may have to buy em in smaller sets.

From what I gathered online, all the gear/parts is mostly modular, but the "boy" armor actually completely replaces the torso and doesn't just fit over it. If you get the whole wave, you'll basically be left with a headless, armless extra boy figure after you kit him out in his armor. So you could put it on the girl...if you stuck her legs and arms on it instead of the boy.

His pauldrons fit on her though, but they're supposedly fairly loose as they just clip onto her arms. I might mod em to fit better as they match her breastplate really well.

I feel like the line won't really shine until you get some of the parts from wave three, which introduce more armor and gear options.

From all the reviews I tried to watch about the Gashapon Quest stuff, I remember one of em mentioning the armor kind of fits with Aqua Shooters. Though this was said through Youtube auto translate and I could have easily misunderstood it. Also, I don't remember exactly which video I saw it in so that's also not very helpful.

The armor sets alone seem kinda cheap though, so you shouldn't risk too much to try it out.

Speaking about the Gashapon Quest stuff though, I had no idea there were so many sets already released for it. I know of the main three sets and their exclusive versions. But they also had sets of entire adventurer figures with no gear, including one where the main boy is in her earth outfit. This line has the potential to be very dangerous for me.

Considering a lot of the Gashapon Quest stuff is just pegs and replacement body parts, putting an Aqua head on a Quest armor set should be fairly easy/painless. I don’t know how gauntlets/pauldrons will fit on the Aqua sleeves, however.

Some of it is and some isn't. That gashapon quest and Aqua shooters use different builds.
GPQ has ab crunch and AQ don't. But wave 3 GPQ (blue forest) has a leather armour set which should be able to be forced over the AQ body.

Alsom you can just swap the AQ heads onto GPQ bodies.

The GPQ armour is really inhibiting to the base body tho. I got the magic elf lady and the armor set
She pretty much becomes a statue because the long hair and pauldrons clash.

Also new AQ released!! Get them while they're hot!!
