>>10667917Because toonfags are fucking nuts. They actually think a shitty car drawing based on a toy that's a scaled replica of an actual IRL vehicle has more priority over the real vehicle. The robot mode, fine, I get it. The original toys are crude humanoid proportions and making them at least decently functional in animation is fine. But a car is a fucking car, there is no human anatomy involved and that's when you can actually 100% say without a fucking doubt the animation is objectively shitty. 2/3rds of the entire character (the IRL vehicle and toy) is undervalued compared to the 1/3rd (the cartoon models), which that 1/3rd objectively has the least amount of time put into it.
I think the most retarded of issues is when Takara released carbots with toon decos but then stripped the Lambo symbol off of Sunstreaker and such. The toonfags are still FUCKING PAYING for the licensing either way if the symbol is actually there or not and it's much easier to paint it over with yellow, paint from the dollar store, but the very few people who like the symbol get fucked over because now they don't have it even though they paid the licensing fee for it.
I think what sealed the deal for me is that people prefer FT's vehicle for Trailbreaker over Takara's because a two minute sketch that was implanted to a cartoon means there interest ends there; when it probably took hundreds of hours for Toyada to make the vehicle the crude drawing is based on, and then took dozens of hours to make that vehicle to turn into a robot toy. I like to think myself very open minded on preferences people prefer but I don't know why this clicks so much to me. Part of me thinks they just don't respect the character or the history and it's just some denial, that these toys are more like idols of the lowest denominator of the entire character than actual toys.
[SPOILERS DONT WORK ON TOY] That said I think it's mostly a Takara biased issue, but their materials suck so lol [SPOILERS DONT WORK ON TOY]
