i am trying to find a series of toys which i can vaguely remember
i can place their existence in the early/mid 1990s maybe late 80s
they were wind up toys and themed as space/robotic creatures, i directly remember a spider and a scorpion toy among other insects existing
if i remember correctly several models were about three by three inches however there were larger ones as well...
every toy had a wind up motor and they would move on release like the scorpion would move its legs and tail to move forward and so on

they were (crude) assembly kits and came in different sizes
i remember them being availiable in the toy shops for a relatively short time but they had tv advertisements

they were unconnected to any other popular franchise e.g. transformers, he-man, lego, aliens, marvel etc...

i have searched a lot already through google and others but i am unable to locate the ones i am trying to rediscover

certain keywords completely censor the image results and focus on totally unrelated toys making the search with searchengines completely ineffective
this is why i post here in the hopes someone reading this knows the toys

they were similair to shinsei takara robotech insectoids or biobots but the color themes were more dark from the color scheme ( violet black and silver ) and the models were more shaped to resemble the actual insects while still appearing as 'aggressive' as maybe beast wars models but a little less realistically animal like and more crude and machine like in appearance of legs and other details and of course they all had a wind up motor which i was unable to locate on any of the vintage toys i found so far that resemble insects

would be cool if someone knew the toy or remembered them existing
